LIFELINE has always grown up with a nonviolent attitude towards life. He is even a pacifist. Even though he is in a unit like G.I.Joe, he refuses to touch a weapon and will only go on missions to save lives. He argues with LIFT-TICKET over the latter's need to arm the copter they share with missles and machine guns.
LIFELINE'S first mission was to aid in stopping Cobra from raiding tombs for DNA. He and DOC figured out that Cobra was going to clone life from the DNA. He later was part of a group that went to rescue SERGEANT SLAUGHTER. He was used as a diversion so the others could ambush some guards. He protested that last action.
LIFELINE was captured along with SCI-FI and used as entertainment for the 1st Annual Cobrathon. He was rescued before he was about to be attacked by two cobras. LIFELINE went on a mission with Wet-Suit to procure a rare snake venom to save Leatherneck. During the mission, he proved to Wet-Suit that saving lives was just as brave as being a fighter.
LIFELINE saved the life of a young socialite named Bree Van Mark. She fell in love with him and began sending him expensive gifts. He appreciated her gesture but did not want her to smother him just for doing his job. When her good intentions almost let Cobra invade Joe Headquarters, Bree left in a Tomahawk. LIFELINE followed and ended up in her winter lodge. Together they fended off a small Cobra force until the Joes arrived. LIFELINE and Bree agreed that she was not to do any more gifts.
LIFELINE was intrumental in stopping DR MINDBENDER'S Nightmare Machine. Later, he attended the wedding of his sister. There he had to confront his father, who disapproved of his career choice. The situation was made worse wheen Cobra used an Emotion Machine on LIFELINE and his fellow Joes to make them go on a riot during the cermony. Fortunately, Cobra was stopped and LIFELINE was reconciled with his father.
During the battle against COBRA-LA, LIFELINE was one of the Joes sent to find Roadblock and his men. When Roadblock appeared, half-blind and with COBRA COMMANDER wrapped around him looking like a snake, LIFELINE calmed him down and repaired his sight. He then took part in the final battle against COBRA-LA.
(Note: There is a blooper in G.I.JOE: THE MOVIE where LIFELINE appears in a scene with the BET in the US even though he is suppose to be with the others looking for Roadblock in the Himilayas.)
