LASER SABERS are long slender blasters that are shaped to resemble ancient dueling swords. CAPTAIN HARLOCK and EMERALDAS carry them has secondary weapons to their COSMO DRAGOONS and to enhance their pirate image. The Sabers are not has powerful has A COSMO DRAGOON but can still deliever a shot with pinpoint accuracy. In imitation of their bladed ancestors, LASER SABERS are frequently used to salute either an honorable opponent or a valued ally. In the alternate reality of MY YOUTH IN ARCADIA, HARLOCK used his LASER SABER to kill the alien MERGESEN. He also used it to salute GENERAL ZEDA just before their epic duel.
