KRANIX was a robotic being living on the planet LITHONE. He would help his friend Arbolous in his scientific research. In 2005, the planet was devoured by UNICRON. Arbolous and KRANIX tried to escape in shuttles, but Arbolous didn't make it. KRANIX got as far as the planet QUINTESSA before he was captured by its inhabitants. While in a QUINTESSON prison, he met the autobots HOT ROD and KUP. He told them as much as he could about the planet and about UNICRON. Immediately after, he was taken away to be put on trial in the QUINTESSON'S kangaroo court. He was found to be "innocent" and feed to the SHARKTICONS. Thus ended the life of the last survivor of LITHONE.
