GESTALTS are giant robots that are formed when a group of five to six smaller robots called combiners link together. Each GESTALT, has its own personality that is seperate from the personalities of the different robots that make it. GESTALTS often have distinct abilities or traits that conform to the combiner type it is composed of. For example, Devastator of the CONSTRUCTICONS, is the strongest GESTALT, and Defensor of the PROTECTOBOTS, is programmed to always help those in danger. The first GESTALT seen was Devastator, who is formed by the CONSTRUCTICONS. He was followed by Menasor (STUNTICONS), Superion (AERILBOTS, and the first Autobot GESTALT), Bruticus (COMBATICONS), and Defensor (PROTECTOBOTS). GESTALT TECHNOLOGY was still in use by 2006. In that year, the Decepticons unveiled the PREDACONS which formed the GESTALT, Predaking. This was followed by the GESTALTS Abominus (TERRORCONS) and Computron (TECHNOBOTS).
