CRYSTAL CLAiRE was a dining car waitress on the GALAXY EXPRESS 999. Her body was made of crystal glass. This allowed her to produec a bright angeloc glow whenever she was in a pitchblack room. She served MAETEL and TESURO when they first traveled together on board 999. She adopted a very loving attitude towards TETSURO and worried that he might get himself killed trying to hunt down COUNT MECHA. She tried to convince the CONDUCTOR not to stop at HEAVY MELDAR but her request was denied. She watched helplessly as TETSURO was carried off to be turned into a living bolt for the Machine Empire. When TETRSURO and MAETEL escaped aboard 999, QUEEN PROMETHIUM followed and treid to kill him. CRYSTAL CLAIRE leaped on top of PROMETHIUM and self destructed, taking the queen with her. Her body shattered and CONDUCTOR spread the pieces into the cosmic wind. TETSURO kept one piece of her, a tear shaped glass that may or may not have been her heart.
CRYSTAL CLAIRE will always be remembered as a kind, loving person who sacrificed herself for TETSURO. As long as she's in his memory, she will never die. And who knows, maybe she will live again some day.
