COVER GIRL used to work has a fashion model.She found the job unsatisfying and joined the military. She showed amazing engineering skills and ended up joining GIJoe as driver for the Wolverine, a mobile missle launcher.
During the battle over the MASS DEVICE, COVER GIRL met SNAKES-EYES at the main gate to Joe Headquarters when he arrived with Timber and a much needed element. When a container proved to be boobytrapped, COVER-GIRL and Timber put their heads together and disposed of it.
At some point, COVER GIRL dyed her hair from blonde to brown. She rode backseat with WILD-BILL during a Cobra attack done by ghosts. Her use of an American flag convinced the ghost of a WW1 fighter pilot that the Joes were on his side. She was one of the Joes ambushed during a Christmas assault. She helped stop a train that Cobra was using to ship gold stolen from Fort Knox.
COVER-GIRL supported the move to go outlaw to stop SYNTHOIDS who were posing as high-ranking generals. She used her acting skills to help break into a military base to steal weapons. Later, she was part of a group that served as consultants for a Joe movie. She and SHIPWRECK got arrested during a barbrawl but were released soon after. She then used her makeup skills to pull of a convincing setup to fool COBRA COMMANDER into freeing SHIPWRECK after he was captured by Cobra.
COVER GIRL teamed with SCARLETT and LADY JAYE to disguise themselves as rock fans to help stop the DREADNOKS from hypnotizing thousands at a rock concert. Afterward, she and the other ladies sang chorus while some of the Joe guys tried to pull of a tune to satisfy the fans. COVER GIRL was one of those who failed training for a space mission.
A year later, COVER GIRL went undercover with lADY JAYE again to free supermodels that Cobra had captured in order to steal their beauty. She was cast as a fairy princess in a story told by SHIPWRECK to some orphans.
COVER GIRL was part of the team sent to protect the BET. She was riding a vehicle that was stopped in its tracks by vines fired from COBRA-LA aircraft. She took part in the invasion of COBRA-LA and was part of large group that cheered their victory and DUKE'S recovery from serious injuries.
(Note: In the comics, COVER GIRL never had blonde hair.)
