The CONDUCTOR has served aboard the GALAXY EXPRESS since it first traveled the rails. It is his job to make sure that the train runs on time and that passengers obey the rules. Despite his sometimes rigid manner regarding rules and regulation, he possesses a friendly attitude and will go out of his way to make sure passengers enjoy their trip. Among the passengers he has made friends with are MAETEL and with the boy TETSURO. The CONDUCTOR also has a bit of a perobelm when it comes to dealing with high stress situations. Frequently he'll go into fits of uncontrollable panic when faced with a potenially deadly situation.
The CONDUCTOR witnessed TETSURO'S first journey aboard 999. He went into a panic when TETSURO fired a shot at the QUEEN EMERALDAS. Later, he refused a request by CRYSTAL CLAIRE to bypass HEAVY MELDAR in order to prevent TETSURO from hunting down COUNT MECHA. The CONDUCTOR stood by and watched helplessly as TETSURO was captured on PLANET MAETEL. When he was rescued, the CONDUCTOR rejoiced. After CYRSTAL CLAIRE died saving TETSURO from QUEEN PROMETHIUM, the CONDUCTOR gathered her remains and had them spread across the cosmos.
Two years later, the CONDUCTOR helped TETSURO reboard 999. He filled the boy in on the chaos that erupted because of their previous adventure. TETSURO once interrupted him when he was bathing, something the CONDUCTOR took great offense to. He yelled at the boy to buzz off. The CONDUCTOR witnessed the chaotic final confrontation between MATEL and her mother. He also tried to help power the 999 after they had to shut it's computers down to avoid SIREN THE WITCH.
The CONDUCTOR still remains onboard the 999 to this day. He is there always to assit you the passenger in anyway. And he'll always make sure the train runs on time.
