1ST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS: FIVE FACES OF DARKNESS

CHARR is a dismal burntout world that was used as headquarters for the Decepticons following their retreat from CYBERTRON during the attack of UNICRON.The planet does show signs of there once being life. All that remain are demolished buildings and the only creatures left are horrific looking carnivores and power draining leeches.

For the first year, the Decepticons huddled in caves suffering from lack of energon. RODIMUS PRIME and GRIMLOCK snuck onto CHARR and witnessed the sad state of the Decepticon army. The Decepticons attacked them both but they were saved by SPRINGER and ARCEE. Soon after, GALVATRON returned and  repowered his warriors. They kept CHARR as their base.

CHARR became an important part of the effort to cure the HATE PLAGUE. GALVATRON had the TERRORCONS steal an impregnable alloy from DR MARK MORGAN. He then hid it in a vault located deep within a dangerous cavern path.OPTIMUS PRIME and a group of uninfected Autobots arrived with JESSICA MORGAN and allied themselves with GALVATRON. He showed them the location of the alloy but all except for OPTIMUS and SKY LYNX were infected.

Following a tremendous battle that saw the introduction of the HEADMASTERS, GALVATRON and Scorponok retreated to CHARR to plan new schemes.
