The BARONESS is one of the most powerful members of Cobra. She started out serving as righthand woman to COBRA COMMANDER. She also has been carrying on a love affair with DESTRO for years. As a result, no can be too sure of which side she'd take if DESTRO were to ever rebel and try to take over Cobra.
She played a major role in Cobra's MASS DEVICE plot. Disguised as an army officer, she snuck into the installation where the Relay Star Satellite was kept and planted a homing beacon. This enabled DESTRO to lock on to the satellite and beam it away. In the proccess, DUKE was caught in the beam and was captured when arriving at Cobra headquarters. BARONESS led the mission to procure the heavy water element. During a battle wityh the Joes over said element, both groups were attacked by giant worms. Torpedo negotiated a truce and Joe and Cobra fought off the worms. BARONESS wanted to continue the fight, but both groups had what they wanted so it was pointless to do so.
When COBRA COMMANDER was captured while stealing the Laser Core from the Joes, BARONESS and ZARTAN led a successfull effort to rescue him. During the search for the missing pieces of the WEATHER DOMINATOR, BARONESS led the party trying to retrieve the Hydro-Master from the ISLAND OF NO RETURN. The battle ended when the island sank into a volcanic fissure. During the Joes attack on Cobra Headquarters, BARONESS fought a brief and inconclusive fight with SCARLETT.
BARONESS teamed with DESTRO to rebuild the PYRAMID OF DARKINESS after the Joes shut it down. She later hid from the Joes disguised as a nurse. When DESTRO angered her by flirting with another Cobra female, she arranged for LADY JAYE to discover she was a cousin of DESTRO'S family. As a result, a battle was waged within the walls of DESTRO'S ancestrial home which burned it to the ground. She also tried to use a special perfume to make a rich playboy fall inlove with her, buut the plan was ruined by FLINT and LADY JAYE, not to mention a jealous DESTRO interrupting the party.
BARONESS masterminded the scheme to use families of the Joes as hostages. The families were freed and when she tried to kidnap the family of GUNG-HO, she was overwhelmed by them and almost got eaten by the family's pet alligator.
In an alternate universe visited by a number of Joes, BARONESS was in love with STEELER and she arranged for COBRA COMMANDER and DESTRO to go to war with each other. She also helped nurse the "mainstream" STEELER back to health after he was infected by an insect carrying a deadly virus.
BARONESS went aling with DR MINDBENDER'S scheme to replace COBRA COMMANDER. She retrieved the DNA of Vlad Tempes and inthe proccess nearly killed MAINFRAME and Beach-head in the by collasping Castle Dracula's walls on top of them. She co-hosted the first annual Cobrathon. LADY JAYE impersonated her in an attempt to stop Cobra from causing a deadly tidal wave to destroy Greece. BARONESS along with several Joes and Cobras, was catapulted back to to ancient Greece thanks to a mysterious alien artifact. LADY JAYE grabbed a gun from her and used it to get everyone back to where they belonged.
BARONESS took part in Cobra's attack on the Statue of Liberty. She was also part of the attack on the BET. She tried to led an attempt to retrieve SEPENTOR after he had been knocked out by DUKE, but was stopped by COBRA COMMANDER. She witnessed CC'S trail in COBRA-LA and was part of the successful attempt to steal the BET from the Joes, in fact, she was the one who found out its location by disguising herself as a guard. She later tried to stop the Joes from invading COBRA-LA. During the battle, she was knocked out by SCARLETT.
BARONESS'S current whereabouts are unknown.
(Note: BARONESS appears in the D I C episodes. In the comics, she and DESTRO leave Cobra to live in peace in Scotland.)
