| WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT The WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT is an event held almost every year in which the best fighters from around the world come to compete. The rules are to knockout your opponent or throw them out of the ring. Fighters are disqualfied if they kill their opponents or keep attacking when the fight is over. Fighters are allowed to use FLYING to prevent a ringout however, if any part of their person touches out of the ring, they lose. In recent years, GOKU and his friends have been a regular part of the event. The first time had KRILLEN fighting the smelly BACTERIAN and GOKU facing off against the dinosaur GIRAN and then the mystic NAM. The final match was GOKU versus JACKIE CHUN. (secretly MASTER ROSHI)After a long battle, JACKIE won when both fighters knocked each other out but he was able to get up and declare himself champion before GOKU could. GOKU'S second visit to the TOURNAMENT turned into a heated face-off against the students of MASTER SHEN. Both YAMCHA & JACKIE CHUN lost to TIEN, SHEN'S star pupil. GOKU was forced to battle KRILLEN. He won and faced TIEN in an epic battle that TIEN almost won by default due to interference from CHIAO-TZU. TIEN attacked SHEN for suggesting the unfair and illegal tactic and then resume his match with both fighters on the same level. TIEN eventually destroyed the stage and it all came down to who could hit the ground last. GOKU would have won had not a car hit him as he was just inches from the ground. In another tournament, GOKU faced down KING PICCOLO. Another tournament featured GOKU fighting CHI-CHI. That same day they were married. For years, GOKU and his friends did'nt attend the TOURNAMENT. The fighter HERCULE emerged as champion and soon become the TOURNAMENT'S spokeman. An offshoot of the TOURNAMENT was the CELLGAMES. This was a tournament arranged by CELL so he could battle the strongest fighters in the world. HERCULE and his followers took part and so did GOKU, GOHAN, and many of their friends. The GAMES ended up degenerating into a free-for-all and GOKU, ANDROID 16, and FUTURE TRUNKS ended up dying. Finally, GOHAN destroyed CELL. HERCULE took credit for the victory but none of the other fighters stepped forward to rebuke him. A more recent TOURNAMENT featured the return of GOKU, PICCOLO, KRILLEN, GOHAN, VEGETA and NUMBER 18 to fighting circles after a seven year absence. This was also the first time a junior league was created. TRUNKS and GOTEN were forced to compete and ended up defeating every other child with no peoblems. After a long battle against each other, TRUNKS won against GOTEN by ringout. He then fought an exhibition match against HERCULE and knocked him out with one punch. The main event had KRILLEN beating PINTAR in two moves. Then PICCOLO forfeit his match against SHIN before any punches were thrown. HERCULE'S daughter VIDEL fought SPOPOVICH. The massive fighter brutally beat her before finally tossing out of the ring. The fight between GOHAN and KIBITO was interrupted when SPOPOVICH and YAMOO jumped in and stabbed GOHAN with an energy draining device. GOHAN recovered and he and KIBITO along with GOKU, VEGETA, KRILLEN, SHIN, PICCOLO< and VIDEL left the area to chase after SPOPVICH and YAMOO. Withe most of the fighters gone, HERCULE proposed that the remaining fighters take part in a battle royal. Of the five, JEWEL and KILLIAH were defeated with one punch a piece from 18 and MIGHTY MASK. The two then starting fighting each other and ignored HERCULE. Finally, MIGHTY MASK was unmasked as TRUNKS and GOTEN and disqualified. 18 then threw her fight with HERCULE in exchange for twice the amount of money HERCULE was going to recieve for winning. HERCULE'S vicvtory ceremony was interrupted when GOKU, GOHAN, SHIN, and VEGETA reappeared out of nowhere. The insane VEGETA destroyed two huge chunks of the stadium killing countless bystanders. The group vanished again and the rest of crowd left while the ANNOUNCER told HERCULE they would postpone the ceremony till later. Later, another tournament was held with GOKU, HERCULE, and VEGETA in attendance. Also taking part was GOHAN'S daughter PAN. During his fight, GOKU realized his opponent, UBU, was the reincarnation of KID BUU. He stopped the fight and the pair left for parts unknown so GOKU could train the young warrior. Given the events that usually take place, one has to only wonder what the next WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT will bring. Back to Main Page Back to table of contents |
