| WING GUNDAM BUILT BY: DOCTOR J PRIMARY USER: HEERO YUY ALLOY: Gundanium 1ST APPEARANCE: GUNDAM WING: THE SHOOTING STAR SHE SAW (DESTROYED) The WING GUNDAM was built by DOCTOR J on the L-1 colony. Of all the Gundams, it is the most well-rounded. It is also the only one of the five Gundams that is capable of transforming into a starfighter. Its principle weapon is the Buster Rifle. the rifle is capable of destroying its target however it can only fire one shot before it needs to recharge. The Wing Gundam is also equipped with a Beam Saber for hand to hand combat. The Wing Gundam was used by HEERO YUY when he first got to Earth. During his first battle against ZECHS, HEERO had to abandon WING GUNDAM. He later tried to destroy it rather than let fall into the hands of DUO MAXWELL. The attempt failed and DUO managed to convince HEERO to side with him. The WING GUNDAM was later destroyed when HEERO activated the self detenation device. ZECHS comandeered the pieces and started a secret project to rebuild the WING GUNDAM. His superiors in Oz told him to stop and demanded he destroy the Gundam. ZECHS fooledthem and finished the rebuilding. He gave the Gundam to HEERO in order to fight a duel. HEERO refused to take the Gundam and instead fought in HEAVYARMS. TROWA BARTON (2) used the WING GUNDAM to hold off any OZ forces that tried to interrupt the battle. When HEERO left for space, he left the WING GUNDAM behind. SALLY PO took custody of it but it was lost again in the confusion caused by the comflicts between ROMEFELLER and the Oz forces loyal to TRIEZE KHUSHRENADA. The WING GUNDAM finally fell into TRIEZE'S forces. During the Great Christmas Eve battle of AC195, LADY UNE awoke from her coma and took the WING GUDAM into outer space to join TRIEZE. She then used the Gundam to push TRIEZE'S TALLGEESE 2 away from the path of LIBRA'S main gun blast. The WING GUNDAM was all but obliterated. The upper part of the torso and head survived. LADY UNE abandoned what was left of the Gundam to float in space. As far as it is known, no one has rebuilt the WING GUNDAM. In light of the events of AC196, it is unlikely anyone ever will.
