| THROTTLEBOTS VOICE ACTORS: (ROLLBAR, GOLDBUG) Dan Gilvezan (SEARCHLIGHT) Steve Bulin (CHASE) Michel Horton (WIDELOAD) Corey Burton (FREEWAY) Danny Mann ALLEGIANCE: Autobots FUNCTION: warriors 1ST APPEARENCE: TRANSFORMERS: RETURN OF OPTIMUS PRIME The THROTTLEBOTS were a group of Autobots known for their compact forms and somewhat speedy transformation time. The group was orginally composed of ROLLBAR, WIDELOAD, CHASE, SEARCHLIGHT, and FREEWAY. Their first known appearence was when they were chosen to be part of a team that went to retrieve the body of OPTIMUS PRIME from the lab of MARK MORGAN. The team went with ULTRA MAGNUS and the AERIALBOTS into the lab and were ambushed. All were sprayed the HATE PLAGUE and began fighting one another. The THROTTLEBOTS eventually made to a junkyard where they chased an infected RODIMUS PRIME. The crazed Autobot leader eventually tricked them into runnig into a wall. The THROTTLEBOTS were finally cured when OPTIMUS PRIME was brought back to life and he used the MATRIX. In the aftermath, GOLDBUG joined the group. Several months later, the THROTTLEBOTS teamed with the TECHNOBOTS in attempting to repel a Decepticon attack of AUTOBOT CITY. During the fight, FREEWAY was slammed into a wall by a kick from SNAPDRAGON. WIDELOAD and CHASE held off SKULLCRUNCHER just outside city limits. The battle ended when the Decepticons got what they came for and left. The THROTTLEBOTS are still active members of the Autobots (Note: The THROTTLEBOTS appear in the Japanese Headmasters cartoon.
