| SHOCKWAVE VOICE ACTOR: Corey Burton ALLEGIANCE: Decepticons FUNCTION: Military Operations Commander 1ST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS: MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE SHOCKWAVE has been one of MEGATRON'S most trusted Decepticons since the begining. When MEGATRON went to pursue the Autobots led by OPTIMUS PRIME, SHOCKWAVE was put in charge of operations on CYBERTRON. While MEGATRON was missing for millions of years, SHOCKWAVE held off against the Autobot resistence. He re-established contact with MEGATRON and helped set up the Space Bridge. SHOCKWAVE attacked a group of Autobots who snuck into CYBERTRON to procure parts to fix a gravely wounded OPTIMUS PRIME.Despite his best efforts,SHOCKWAVE was unable to prevent the Autobots from making it back to Earth with what they needed. SHOCKWAVE helped MEGATRON in the latter's scheme to bring CYBERTRON to Earth orbit. He then played host to a small Decepetison party that included the brainwashed human Sparkplug. SPIKE, Sparkplug's son, arrived on CYBERTRON with several Autobots on a mission to rescue his father. They broke into Decepticon Headquarters numerous times and finally freed Sparkplug. SHOCKWAVE asked MEGATRON for help dealing with problems caused by the female Autobots led by ELITA-1. Despite help from STARSCREAM, SHOCKWAVE was unable to get rid of them. He later tried to mine Cybertronium after MEGATRON'S supply ran low. He managed to capture most of the DINOBOTS and force them to work. SPIKE and CARLY came to CYBERTRON to get the Cybertronium themselves. SHOCKWAVE blew up CARLY'S car but could'nt prevent them from finding SWOOP and freeing the other DINOBOTS and getting what they needed. SHOCKWAVE was later captured by BRUTICUS during the Gestalt's brief attempt to take over CYBERTRON. By 2005, SHOCKWAVE became MEGATRON'S second-in-command on CYBERTRON after the Decepticons took it over. He kept his position even after leadership was taken over by STARSCREAM and then GALVATRON. When UNICRON appeared and began attacking, SHOCKWAVE organized a defense. In the aftermath of the battle with UNICRON and the Decepticon retreat from CYBERTRON, SHOCKWAVE has disappeared. Numerous sources indicate he perished battling UNICRON. Others claim he is still part of the Decepticon army although he has lost his high ranking position to CYCLONUS. No conclusive evidence has been brought forth to prove either theory. (Note: SHOCKWAVE plays a greater role in the comics. He even leads the Decepticons on a few occasions.
