| SELENA VOICE ACTOR: Marla Frumkin Scott ALLEGIANCE: to DUKE SPECIALTY: resistance leader 1ST APPEARENCE: G.I.JOE: REAL AMERICAN HERO SELENA was part of a race of people that were enslaved by Cobra and made to work as slave labor in the COBRA TEMPLE. Like all her people, SELENA was fitted with a MIND CONTROL HEADBAND. However, she somehow discovered a small strip of gold could disrupt the HEADBAND'S effects when placed on the forehead. She then began to think of ways she could lead a revolt against her masters. SELENA was attracted to DUKE after she saw him when he was captured by Cobra. She came up to him in the ARENA OF SPORT and gave him a gold strip. He used it to escape and make it a hanger. She then knocked out a guard and helped him get a VIPER GLIDER. He gave her his ring and told her he would return to free her people. SELENA then disappeared back into the slave pens before anyone knew she helped DUKE escape. SELENA and RAMAR were made to serve COBRA COMMANDER and DESTRO as they feasted following news that GIJoe was going to surrender. After DESTRO left during the middle of the meal, COBRA COMMANDER made RAMAR fight a giant robot. SELENA hid and then used a pitcher of water to short circuit the MASS DEVICE after COBRA COMMANDER tried to destroy New York after getting impatient. She was caught and thrown in a dungeon. SCARLETT was thrown in the same room after she was captured in battle. The two fought but SCARLETT called it off after seeing DUKE'S ring. The two teamed up and tried to lead a slave revolt. Unfortunately, the revolt failed and DESTRO had the ladies chained to wall. They were freed by DUKE and STALKER when the Joes used the electronics in DUKE'S ring as a homing beacon.
