| SCOTT BERNARD VOICE ACTOR: Greg Snow ALLEGIANCE: REF, and to the people of Earth ASSIGNMENT: (former) Mars Attack Wing, (later) self-created resistence group 1ST APPEARENCE: ROBOTECH: INVID INVASION SCOTT BERNARD was born in outer space to parents that were part of RICK HUNTER'S Robotech Expeditionary Force. Despite never having been to Earth, SCOTT took part in the effort to take it back from the Invid. He fell in love with a girl named MARLENE RUSH and he proposed to her on the eve of battle. Unfortunately, the Invid slaughtered the REF forces and SCOTT was forced to watch as MARLENE and everyone else on their ship were killed during entry into the atmosphere. SCOTT crashlanded on Earth and was apparently the only person to survive the battle out of the entire fleet. SCOTT took off on a CYCLONE to continue his mission alone. He eventually met and befriended a young man named RAND. The two formed a small resistence group and were soon joined by a girl named ANNIE, a young woman named ROOK BARTLEY, an ex-soldier named LUNK, and a soldier named LANCER. SCOTT led the group in a successful raid on a Protoculture Storage Warehouse run by humans loyal to the Invid. SCOTT led his group to Point Alpha, a rendeverous point for any REF soldiers to meet and plan a counterstrike against the Invid. There, the group found a wasteland filled with destroyed ships. Despite the group finding some working mecha, SCOTT fell into a deep depression. He was lifted out of it when RAND and ROOK found a mysterious woman. SCOTT offered to name her MARLENE and he rose to her defense when the Invid attacked. SCOTT almost lost control of the group when they became trapped in an abandoned subway tunnel. Fortunately, the group patched up their differences and stayed together. In the meanwhile, SCOTT and MARLENE grew close. Their feelings became very clear when the two searched through the ruins of the city of Denver. A short time later, SCOTT was shocked to learn she was really an Invid in disguise. He buried himself in his duties and joined up with a large force of REF troops to attack Reflex Point. SCOTT fought in the final battle between the Invid and the REF. He defeated and killed Invid prince CORG. he also reunited with MARLENE. The two realised their feelings for each other went beyond race and MARLENE stayed behind when the REGIS took the remains of her race and left Earth. In the aftermath of the fighting, SCOTT took on an assignment to be part of a group that was going to go look for RICK HUNTER. He did promise MARLENE he'd back once the job was done.
