(former) loyal member of the Blue Angels ASSIGNMENT: resistence fighter 1ST APPEARANCE: (in armor with face hidden) ROBOTECH: LOST CITY, (face revealed) LONELY SOLDIER BOY ROOK BARTLEY was born in a city carved into canyon. She lived there with her sister LILY. The city was plagued by gangs and ROOK had to join one to survive. She befriended a young man named ROMY and became a member of his gang, the Blue Angels. The group became rivals of a gang called the Red Snakes. ROMY grew tired of the fighting and told ROOK he planned to stop. The next day ROOK faced several Red Snakes allow and was badly beaten. Feeling betrayed, she left the city behind. ROOK roamed the countryside and eventually found a red CYCLONE. She mastered the transforming bike and rode into battle to help SCOTT BERNARD, RAND, and ANNIE escape some INVID TROOPERS. She disappeared after helping them but soon met them again when they came to her defense after she attcked some goons that were harrassing the singer YELLOW DANCER. She then joined in on a massive rescue party after the same goons kidnapped a friend of ex-soldier LUNK. In the aftermath, ROOK joined SCOTT'S group of freedom fighters. She and RAND developed a strange relationship with the two always riding each other for one thing or another. However, at times it seemed like the two might have actually cared for each other. ROOK returned home and confronted ROMY. She found out ROMY had been ambushed so that's why she had no help in fighting the Red Snakes. With help from RAND she confronted the Red Snake Leader and won. She then left home again but not before RAND tried to get her to reunite with her mom. ROOK and RAND were the first ones to meet ARIEL after she sent by the REGIS to spy on SCOTT'S group. ROOK gave the girl her jacket so she wouldnt run around in the buff. At one point when the group was trapped in an abandoned subway, ROOK and RAND considered leaving. However, the reappearence of ANNIE, who had gone off to live with a tribe of jungle people, helped convince the two to stay. ROOK met and befriended the man known as DUSTY AYRES. She found how he had been captured and tortured by the Invid and was seeking revenge on his friends for leaving him. When DUSTY got into battle with SCOTT and the others ROOK intervened. DUSTY came to his senses and protected ROOK from a blast from an INVID SHOCK TROOPER. DUSTY died in the process. ROOK and RAND took part in the assault on REFLEX POINT dispite not being in the REF.
