DR.  MIKAMURA

NATIONALITY:
Neo-Japan
GUNDAM: none. He did help in designing some of Neo-Japan's Gundams, but he is not a pilot.
1ST APPEARENCE: G GUNDAM: FIGHT, DOMON! EARTH IS THE RING
(DECEASED)

DR MIKAMURA was the father of RAIN MIKAMURA and a partner of DR KASSHU. He was secretly jealous of DR KASSHU and joined with MAJOR ULUBE in trying to take control of the DARK GUNDAM. DR MIKAMURA made sure that RAIN went with DOMON as he searched for the DARK GUNDAM and took part in the 13th Gundam Fight.

DR MIKAMURA came to Earth just before the Finals. He had BURNING GUNDAM sent to DOMON while the latter was in the GUYANA HIGHLANDS. He then hooked up a remote brainwave device to RAIN so she could operate SHINING GUNDAM at long distance and help transfer its battle data to BURNING GUNDAM.

Towards the end of the Finals, SCHWARTZ BRUDER was revealed to be a clone of KYOJI KASSHU. DR MIKAMURA tried to kill him in order to silence him about the truth behind the DARK GUNDAM'S arrival on Earth and DR KASSHU'S imprisonment. RAIN interrupted and got her father to confess his crimes. He let SCHWARTZ go and saw his daughter battle ALLENBY BEARDSLEY. After that fight was finished, he aided RAIN in curing ALLENBY of infection by DG CELLS. When the Gundam Fight was over, DR MIKAMURA turned himself in to the Neo-Japan authorities. RAIN felt she had to take responsibilty as well and accompanied her father.

MAJOR ULUBE doublecrossed DR MIKAMURA and planned to use RAIN as the life force unit for the DARK GUNDAM. DR MIKAMURA tried to interfere but was shot by ULUBE. Mortally wounded, DR MIKAMURA made sure DOMON knew RAIN was in trouble. He then made his way to the place where DR KASSHU lay in hybernation. As his last act, DR MIKAMURA arranged for the capsule to be launched into space so DOMON could revive his father. DR MIKAMURA was killed when the glass separating the chamber from outer space broke open. His last act was one he hoped would redeem himself and help save his daughter.
