THE GUNDAM THAT FELL TO EARTH RAIN MIKAMURA is a childhood friend of DOMON KASSHU and the daughter of Gundam designer DR MIKAMURA. She left the Neo-Japan colony to study medicine. She fell in love with a man named SAETTE. Unfortunately, she was called home and had to break off their relationship. She was assigned to be DOMON'S aide in the 13th Gundam Fight. She followed him to Earth and began helping him not only in the Fight, but also in his mission to find the DARK GUNDAM. After many battles, RAIN reunited with SAETTE, who had become a Gundam fighter for Neo-Turkey. SAETTE had lost to the DARK GUNDAM in battle and became infected with DG CELLS. RAIN cured him but she left him again to return to DOMON. She had begun to realize that she had feelings for him. RAIN watched as DOMON teamed with his old master, MASTER ASIA, to battle the DARK GUNDAM'S forces in SHINJUKU. At one point she had to pilot SHINING GUNDAM against the MASTER GUNDAM. She was outmatched but managed to hold out until DOMON arrived. Soon after RAIN found several Gundam Fight aides being held captive. She freed them and then got them to safety thanks in part to the arrival of SCHWARZ BRUDER. After SHINJUKU, RAIN accompanied DOMON to the GUYANA HIGHLANDS. When the DARK GUNDAM followed, RAIN found herself once again at the helm of the SHINING GUNDAM. She was injured in the battle and DOMON had her taken to safety. She arrived in Tokyo, site of the Finals. Her father was also there and he had her use a device that allowed her to remote control SHINING GUNDAM so it could link with BURNING GUNDAM and transfer its battle data. During the finals, RAIN had to deal with her feelings towards DOMON spending time with Neo-Sweden fighter ALLENBY BEARDSLEY. ALLENBY was injured during a fight and RAIN tried to come to her aid only to be stopped by what she thought were rescue workers. In reality they kidnapped ALLENBY on orders for WONG YUN-FAT. DOMON yelled at her for being tricked. She resigned and ended up working for SCHWARTZ BRUDER. DOMON confronted her during his fight with SCHWARTZ and the two reconciled. They began to realize their feelings but neither could say them out loud. After SCHWARTZ was revealed to be KYOJI. RAIN snuck into a hospital to get answers. She fwitnessed her father attacking SCHWARTZ. She then learned that her father and MAJOR ULUBE were the real bad guys. She then ran off with SCHWARTZ to LANTAU ISLAND to confront the DARK GUNDAM. RAIN took control of RISING GUNDAM and battled ALLENBY, who had been infected by DG CELLS and made to pilot WALTER GUNDAM. She defeated her and cured her with the help of her father. To help atone for her father's sins, she then left Earth with him. However, RAIN was soon captured by ULUBE, who made her the lifeforce unit for the DARK GUNDAM. DR MIKAMURA was fattaly wounded by ULUBE but he managed to call DOMON and free his father before dying. DOMON defeated ULUBE and confronted the DARK GUNDAM. However, it became clear that RAIN didn't want to see DOMON and that those feelings were driving the DARK GUNDAM'S attacks. DOMON stopped fighting and finally told RAIN that he loved her. This freed RAIN from the DARK GUNDAM'S control and together she and DOMON finally destroyed it. They then flew back to Earth together inside BURNING GUNDAM.
