| RICK HUNTER VOICE ACTOR: Tony Oliver ALLEGIANCE: RDF ASSIGNMENT: Skull Squadron Leader 1ST APPEARANCE: ROBOTECH: BOOBYTRAP RICK HUNTER grew up as a part of his family's flying circus. He befriended pilot ROY FOKKER and the two grew so close that they reffered to each other as brothers. ROY left the circus to join the military and ended up joining the crew of the soon to be launched SDF-1. RICK flew his plane into the ceremonies during a demonstation of the VERITECHS. ROY showed him a VERITECH up close but the tour was cut short by the attack of the Zentradi. LISA HAYES saw RICK in the fighter and by mistake sent him into battle. He ended up stranded in MACROSS CITY where he met LYNN MINMEI. The two were rescued by ROY and taken to SDF-1. RICK tried to leave the ship but was caught in the spacefold disaster and he and MINMEI ended up stranded for two weeks in a remote corner of SDF-1. RICK and MINMEI grew close during there time together however, their relationship was an interesting one since RICK wanted her more than she did him. RICK joined the RDF and was assigned to ROY'S Skull Squadron. His first mission was the battle near Saturn. From the start of his career, he was at odds with LISA HAYES. he did however, save her life during the battle at Mars SARA BASE. For this action, he recieved a medal, a promotion, and leadership of Vermillon Squadron where he met MAX STERLING and BEN DIXON. His personal life took an interesting turn while he and LISA were prisoners of the Zentradi. He had to kiss her to demonstrate human love to their captors. he found himself torn between LISA and MINMEI. Making things worse was MINMEI'S cousin KYLE and her music career. RICK was then injured by friendly fire during a fight. LISA was the one responsible and she visited him in the hospital. She also gave him the bad news when ROY died because injuries. RICK took control of Skull Squadron. During one of his first missions, BEN DIXON was killed in an explosion. RICK and LISA finally let each other know their feelings while trapped during a battle. Shortly after, RICK saved her during the battle against DOLZA. During the two year aftermath, RICK was still torn between the two women in his life. MINMEI abandoned her career and went to live with him. Things drew to a head when LISA told him she was taking command of the SDF-2 and leaving the Earth. Just then KHYRON attacked.MINMEI asked RICK to stay with her but he chose to go fight alongside LISA. The battle saw both SDF-1 and 2 destroyed. RICK was horrified but his feelings changed when he saw LISA made out alive. RICK and LISA finally admitted they loved each other and the couple were reconciled with MINMEI. A few years later, RICK and LISA married and became part of the crew of SDF-3. Their fate is unknown.
