ROY COLEMAN is a freind of RALLY VINCENT and MAY HOPKINS. He frequently goes to bat for them when they get into trouble. He also recommends RALLY to all his buddies on the force has the perfect person to go to get their guns fixed.

At the start of the massive gunrunning scheme in Chicago, ROY was on his first vacation in ten years. He got back home to find that RALLY, MAY, and BECKY FARRA had been involved in a high speed chase with NATASHA RATINOV. He warned them about RATINOV and then sent them home with gifts his wife picked out on the trip.

When RALLY and MAY were invited to be part of a rally held by SENATOR HAINT, ROY and his partner KATE, went along and took charge of RALLY and MAY'S weapons. When RATINOV appeared and was stopped from killing the Gunsmith Cats, ROY, KATE and BECKY followed only to run into a wounded BILL COLLINS. ROY, KATE, and BECKY then found about HAINT''S involvement with the gunrunning scheme and set up a sting operation. KATE and BECKY set HAINT up and when the senatror tried to run, ROY showed up at the door with other officers. He later witnessed RALLY finally kill RATINOV.
