| KHYRON VOICE ACTOR: Greg Snow ALLEGIANCE: to the Zentradi and to his own goals ASSIGNMENT: fleet commander 1ST APPEARENCE: ROBOTECH: BYE-BYE MARS (DECEASED) KHYRON was a very short-tempered Zentradi fleetcommander. The most notorious tale told about him states that he once destroyed a division of his own troops. This earned him the nickname "The Backstabber". Despite this, BREETAI called for him to help in the effort to capture SDF-1. KHYRON folded into the middle of the fleet in order to see if he could hit less than four ships. His first mission was to trap the SDF-1 on the surface of Mars using gravity mines. He almost blew the mission by shooting down an overeager pilot. The SDF-1 saw the shootdown and thanks to LISA HAYES, were able to escape. KHYRON then disobeyed orders and went after SDF-1 under the cover of having run into them during war games. BREETAI recalled him just as he was battling RICK HUNTER in a duel. KHYRON then launched an attack that knocked out the SDF-1'S long range radar. Afterwards, KHYRON was given over to AZONIA after she became commander of the mission after BREETAI failed prevent humans from escaping. KHYRON clashed with AZONIA as well. BREETAI returned and KHYRON lead an assault that breached SDF-1'S hull and spilled into MACROSS CITY. There, KHYRON notcied Zentradi were defecting. He started killing defectors and was soon forced to retreat when the RDF forces took advantage and counterattacked. When DOLZA appeared with his fleet, KHYRON chose not to take part in the massive battle that followed. He watched the battle from afar instead. In the aftermath, his ship lost most of its power and crashed on Earth. KHYRON found and teamed up with AZONIA. The two also fell in love. KHYRON began to draw up support by telling Zentradi who were bored with peace that he'd restore them to glory. KHYRON launched an assault that stole a Protoculture matrix from some civilians who refused help from the RDF. He also kidnapped LYNN MINMEI and her cousin/manager LYNN KYLE. Both were rescued by RICK HUNTER. KHYRON then launched a horrible attack on Chrisrmas Eve. KHYRON repaired his ship and staged a final assault on MACROSS CITY. He destroyed the SDF-2 but his ship was then bombarded with enemy fire. He decided then to put his ship on a collision course with SDF-1. KHYRON and AZONIA kissed as the ship plowed into SDF-1. Both ships were destroyed and KHYRON and AZONIA were killed. He also managed to kill CAPTAIN GLOVAL, CLAUDIA GRANT, VANESSA LEEDS, SAMMIE PORTER, and KIM YOUNG of the SDF-1.
