| KIM YOUNG, SAMMIE PORTER, & VANESSA LEEDS VOICE ACTORS: (SAMMIE) Julie Magdalena, (KIM) Deena Morris, (VANESSA) Wendee Lee ALLEGIANCE: R.D.F. ASSIGNMENT: SDF-1 Bridge Crew 1ST APPEARENCE: ROBOTECH: BOBBYTRAP (DECEASED) KIM, SAMMIE, & VANESSA were the three women who helped CAPTAIN GLOVAL run the SDF-1. The trio were best friends and soon earned the nickname "Bridge Bunnies". They were friends with LISA and CLAUDIA and would often back up CLAUDIA'S attempts to cheer LISA up. SAMMIE was known for pointing out to GLOVAL the "no smoking on the bridge" rule. The trio were stranded alongwith the rest of the crew when the SDF-1 folded to the other side of the Solar System following the first attack by the Zentradi. The "Bunnies" were with LISA in a department store when they ran into RICK HUNTER. HUNTER had been with MINMEI and was wandering around while she was trying on clothes. He had wandered into the ladies lingerie section by accident and was spotted by LISA and company. This incident made the trio bestow the title of "Mr Lingerie" on RICK. When the SDF-1 reached Mars, VANESSA was able to spot a Zentradi ambush. When GLOVAL left the ship on business, the bunnies helped his replacement. SAMMIE even reminded the acting captain about the "no smoking" rule The trio befriended the spies RICO, BRON, and KONDA and even took them dancing. After the defeat of DOLZA and in the two years that followed, the two groups remained very close. KIM, SAMMIE, and VANESSA were chosen to be bridge officers on the SDF-2. They spent Christamas with the Spies. Days later, they helped LISA battle KHYRON. When the SDF-2 was critcally damaged, they transfered to SDF-1. When it appeared that KHYRON was going to do a kamikaze run on SDF-1, The "Bunnies", CLAUDIA, and GLOVAL pushed LISA into an escape pod. They all died when the SDF-1 exploded. (Note: The "Bridge Bunnies" all live in the Japanese version and in Macross: DYRL. Actress Wendee Lee can be heard in the series Cowboy Bebop as Faye Valentine. She also appears in the Bebop movie and is the voice for Twilight Suzuka in the series Outlaw Star. Her voice can also be heard in the first Austin Powers film.)
