| FAYE VALENTINE VOICE ACTOR: Wendee Lee OCCUPATION: bounty hunter, occasional con artist and gambler BASE: (former) mobile via REDTAIL (current) mobile via the BEBOP 1ST APPEARENCE: COWBOY BEBOP: HONKY TONK WOMAN FAYE VALENTINE'S past is almost completely unknown, even to her. She awoke from deep freeze with total amensia. She learned several decades had pasted thank to a case worker named WHITNEY HAGUS MATSUMOTO. WHITNEY helped her get used to the modern world but was soon killed in an explosion. He gave her all possesions but most of it was in the form of massive debt. FAYE wandered for years living off waht she won at gambling. She aquired a small ship called the REDTAIL. She was captured by thugs working for a casino owner she had cheated. She cut a deal to help him aquire a chip that going to be delivered to him. She was set up at a blackjack table and made ot wait for a guy who would lose his earnings and then give his last chip to her. She mistook SPIKE for the guy and was astonished when he took the chip. She fled but ended up in the hands of SPIKE and JET who wanted to turn her in for reward money. She escaped while SPIKE was cutting a deal for the chip. She took the money he was supposed to be paid and left. She wandered around but lost fuel near Ganymede. She found a ship carrying a member of the ISSP who stole a virus sample from TWINKLE MARIE MURDOC. the BEBOP found her and she was captured again. She broke out and helped SPIKE deal with a missile filled with MURDOC'S virus. After that she amde herself part of the crew. She was soojn captured by VICIOUS. SPIKE rescued her but was injured in the attempt. She stayed at his bedside for three days until he woke up. She left the BEBOP and went to EURIOPA with all their money. She ran into GREN and found out about his connection to VICIOUS. GREN tied her up but JET tracked her down and rescued her. She ran into WHITNETY again when he was busted by JET. She dragged into the REDTAIL and made him tell her what he really knew about her. It turns out she was a patinet in deep freeze with no record because all her info was lost in the Gate Accident. She turned him over to the cops. A short time later, a beta cassette that conatined a video message from her younger self arrived on the BEBOP. It helped spark part of her memory. FAYE was a witness to the bio attack amde by VINCENT. She tried to track him down only to taken prisoner. She was infected by the virus VINCENT was planning to unleash but was cured when VINCENT kissed her. She broke out on her own and helped defeated his plans by taking control of a weather station and making it rain. FAYE'S memories returned enough that she was able to track down her home. Unfortunately it was destroyed and there was nothing left. She went off on her own and ran into JULIA. She went back to the BEBOP when JULIA told her to give SPIKE a message. SPIKE followed the message and was reunited with JULIA. Unfortunately she was killed. SPIKE returned to the BEBOP but left again to have a final showdown with VICIOUS. FAYE tried to stop him but was unable to bring herself to do anything. SPIKE died fighting VICIOUS. The current whereabouts of FAYE and JET are unknown. Back to Main Page Back to table of contents |
