| DR ANTON SEVARIUS VOICE ACTOR: Tim Curry SPECIES: Human OCCUAPTION: geneticist 1ST APPEARENCE: GARGOYLES: METAMORPHOSIS DR ANTON SEVARIUS is a scientist who specializes in gentics. He used to work for Cyberbiotics but soon defected to work for DAVID XANATOS. SEVARIUS' methods were amoral and illegal. However, XANTOS allowed to use any means at his disposal to get results. SEVARIUS was set up with a research firm called Gene-U-Tech. SEVARIUS experimented on three homeless people and transformed into catlike beings with wings. He also infected DEREK MAZA with the same formula. When the Gargoyles came looking for MAGGIE REED, GOLIATH apparently ended up smashing vials that had the antiode. He then by accident threw SERVARIUS into a tank containing electric eels. The tank smashed open and SEVARIUS was electrocuted. His death however, was a ploy by XANATOS to get DEREK (now called TALON) and the other MUTATES under his control. SEVARIUS then worked on the THAILOG Project. THAILOG was a clone of GOLIATH that was artifically aged and taught XANATOS way of thinking. THAILOG turned on XANTOS and tricked SEVARIUS into holding him for ransom. THAILOG then imprisoned SEVARIUS and XANATOS alongwith GOLIATH and ELIZA MAZA on a burning oil rig while he made off with the money. However, all his captives escaped. SEVARIUS was then kidnapped by GOLIATH who then forced to work on a cure for the MUTATES. During the battle that followed, the deception that SEVARIUS and XANATOS had played was revealed. SEVARIUS escaped by distracting the MUTATES with a vial that contained a possible cure. The MUTATES didn't trust him and threw away the vial. SEVARIUS was then seen in Scotland where he captured a baby Loch Ness Monster.He also captured ANGELA and revealed to her that GOLIATH was her biological father. When he tried to capture an adult Nessie, his sub sank to the bottom of the Loch. SEVARIUS, however, was able to escape via means unknown. SEVARIUS then left XANATOS and went to work for DEMONA and THAILOG. Under their orders, he created a CLONE clan from cells taken from GOLIATH'S clan and ELIZA. He laso took part in DEMONA'S plan to destroy humanity during the Hunter's Moon. SEVARIUS was last seen when he was forced to help find a cure for a disease that was affecting THAILOG and the CLONES. He betrayed them and used DNA from the Gargoyles to create LITTLE ANTON. The CLONES and THAILOG were turned to stone apparently forever. The same fate befell LITTLE ANTON when GOLIATH injected him with a vial of the disease that was met to speed up the illness in THAILOG. SEVARIUS has not been seen since and may be working on a way to restore LITTLE ANTON. (Note: Tim Curry's claim to fame is for his role as the mad scientist/cross dresser Dr Frankenfurter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. He also Rooster Hanigan in the 1980 Annie movie.)
