| DEKIM� BARTON VOICE ACTOR: Jim Byrnes ALLEGIANCE: Barton Foundation and to himself PRIMARY MOBILE SUIT: none 1ST APPEARANCE: GUNDAM WING: ENDLESS WALTZ (DECEASED) DEKIM BARTON was the leader of colony L3X18999. He also lead the Barton Foundation, an organization with plans to topple the Earth Sphere Alliance and take over. To this end, DEKIM allied with the 5 SCIENTISTS and QUINZE to create OPERATION METEOR, a plan to devastate Earth and use the Gundams to help take over. The 5 SCIENTISTS rebeled and instead ordered the Gundam pilots to go to Earth and stage a guerilla war. DEKIM'S son TROWA was killed and replaced by an un-named boy who took his name. DEKIM retreated into the shadows and came up with a new plan. He ordered the building of new mobile suits called SERPENTS, basing the design on the GUNDAM HEAVYARMS. He then organized a secret army and hid scores of MOBILE DOLLS. He then took custody of MARIEMAIA KHUSHRENADA, his grandaughter and the child of TREIZE KHUSHRENADA. He organized his secret army around her and brainwashed her into believing she was carrying out the will of her late father. DEKIM also managed to persuade WUFEI CHANG to fight for him. DEKIM struck in late December AC196. Despite the best efforts of the other Gundam Pilots and PREVENTER, DEKIM managed to kidnap RELENA and land his invasion force. However, the Gundams counterattacked and disabled several Mobile Suits. Also, WUFEI switched sides. Finally. HEERO used the Buster Rifle on the WING ZERO to destroy DEKIM'S defenses. DEKIM then tried to shoot RELENA but MARIEMAIA took the bullet instead. He tried again but was shot in the back by one of his own troops. In the aftermath, peace was restored, MARIEMA survived, and the Barton Foundation and its military were disbanded. (Note: Jim Byrnes is more well known as Joe Dawson from the Highlander tv series.
