| DG CELLS CREATED BY: DARK GUNDAM 1ST APPEARENCE: G GUNDAM: REUNION IN THE FALLING RAIN. (possibly DESTROYED) DG CELLS are tiny microscopic nanites that serve to start up the DARK GUNDAM'S regenerative powers. However, they can also be used to to turn a human being into a slave of the DARK GUNDAM. A person can be infected with DG CELLS by coming into contact with the DARK GUNDAM. A person can also be infected by being placed a life-sized tube where they can be infected in either small amounts or have the infection driven to its final stage. In the first stages of infection, a person will have his/her abilities increased as well as their feelings of aggression. Soon, tiny grids of diamond-shaped metal plates start appearing on the victims skin. After a while, the infected person will soon gain the ability to bond with a machine on a physical level. Those at this point of infection have reportedly had blackouts where they do not remember their actions. After extended infection, the person's skin will decompose and the metal complection will spread over the skeletal remains. The person's mind will be gone and their actions will be fully under the control of the DARK GUNDAM. If a person reaches this stage, they cannot be cured. Among those infected with DG CELLS have been CHIBODEE CROCKET, GEORGE DE SAND, SAI SAICI, ARGO GULSKII, MICHELO CHARIOT, SAETTE, ALLENBY BEARDSLEY, WONG YUN-FAT, GENTLE CHAPMAN, several residents of the SHINJUKU DISTRICT in Tokyo, and JEAN-PAUL MIRABEAU. CHIBODEE, GEORGE, ARGO, SAI SAICI, ALLENBY, and SAETTE were all cured of their infections while the rest died in battle. In some cases, such as MICHELO, CHAPMAN, YUN-FAT, MIRABEAU, and MAJOR ULUBE, a person infected with DG CELLS can retain their free will and use the powers given them to increase their strength and/or fighting ability. In the case of GENTLE CHAPMAN, the DG CELLS reanimated his body after he died in battle. The last person known to be infected with DG CELLS was RAIN MIKAMURA. She was infected so she could serve as the lifeforce unit for the DARK GUNDAM. She was freed thanks to the efforts of DOMON KASSHU.
