| COYOTE VOICE ACTOR: Jonathan Frakes SPECIES: Android OCCUPATION: servant to DAVID XANATOS 1ST APPEARENCE: GARGOYLES: LEADER OF THE PACK (DESTROYED) COYOTE was a robot made to look to like DAVID XANATOS wearing a golden suit of armor. The COYOTE robot found DINGO and hired him to help bust out the other members of the PACK. COYOTE took over leadership of the group after FOX elected to stay in jail. He (It) led them in battle against the Gargoyles. During a fight with GOLIATH, BRONX lept on top of COYOTE and tore at his face. This exposed him to be a robot. Moments later he was shot in the chest by LEXINGTON. The body was destroyed but COYOTE'S head was somehow recovered by XANATOS. COYOTE found the PACK robbing a bank and rescued them from capture by police. It then extended an offer to upgrade the PACK'S abilities. COYOTE was then given a new robot body, larger than its old one. It led the PACK in another battle with the GARGOYLES. This time its body was smashed by a train. The head survived only to be ripped to pieces by BRONX. A third version of COYOTE watched over THE EMIR'S plot to summon ANUBIS. The plan was interrupted by GOLIATH and by the others who were with him on the AVALON WORLD TOUR. When JACKAL merged with ANUBIS, he blasted COYOTE, which rusted away in seconds. XANATOS built a fourth COYOTE robot by melting down the CAULDRON OF LIFE. This COYOTE was built for the purpose of catching COYOTE THE TRICKSTER. GOLIATH once again encountered it, this time getting help from not only those on the WORLD TOUR but also from PETER and BETH MAZA. COYOTE had a steel beam rammed through its center and was moments later buried in rubble. Since then, XANATOS has not built anymore versions of COYOTE. In light of his making peace with the Gargoyles, he probably never will. (Note: The head writers of the show had thought of bringing COYOTE back. However, he would have had a new master.)
