The background surrounding the life of the man known as BRILLANT DYNAMITES NEON is unknown. What is known is that he is the boisterous leader of the BAD LADS GANG and he wears a suit with giant shoulder pads that light up. BRILLANT and his henchmen took over a SANDSTEAMER that had just left INEPRIL CITY. They got onboard with the help of a boy named KAITE. BRILLANT took over the bridge and had the conductor steer the vessel towards a canyon at top speed. His plan was to rob the STEAMER and cause a huge wreck. What he did'nt know was that VASH THE STAMPEDE was onboard. VASH convinced KAITE to help him and the two conducted a gorilla war against the BAD LADS. Unfortunately, BRILLANT found KAITE and ambushed VASH. He almost killed him but MERYL STRIFE and MILLY THOMPSON were in disguise and they backed VASH up. BRILLANT decided to finish the matter with a duel. Both missed but VASH'S earlier injuries flared up and he collapsed. BRILLANT was taken in by his audacity that he let VASH have the duel and left. Unfortnately, the STEAMER was too far ahead to be stopped. BRILLANT reappeared and stopped it. He left again, telling VASH the two would one day have a rematch.
