My Family and I used to attend a church sometimes, but I was totally bored. I didn't like to think about the cross, I thought it was so horible that I didn't want it to be true that Jesus went through all that pain. Little did I know why He did it. I did have an interest in the Bible though, and so I got my mom to buy me a Bible. I didn't really understand it, but I knew I wanted to know more, I just didn't know what it was. I soon found out.
In Feb. of 2000, we started going to a new church. I Loved it! It was a Great church, and I heard the Gospel there. God started tugging on my heart. I knew these people had something that I didn't, and it was something that I needed too. We went for a few months, and then my mom got involved in a Bible study. She soon accepted Jesus into her heart. I remember starting to really think after that. I wasn't sure if I was saved. If I died at that moment, I didn't know if I would go to Heaven or not. Then finally, on one Sunday in June, 2000, our Pastor invited those who did not know Jesus Christ as Savior to pray and invite Jesus into our hearts. So, I prayed. At that moment I didn't really realize what had happened, so I kinda went back to my life as usual, but little did I know how God would change my life. About a week later, I was at a 4Him concert, and I rededicated my life to Jesus, and I have never been the same since then!
God can do Awesome works, and if you let Him, He will do Amazing things in your life too. Life is not always easy. In fact, it's very hard, but with Jesus you have a friend who never will leave you or forsake you.(Hebrews 13:5) When I invited Jesus into my heart, my outlook on life changed from a hopeless one, to one filled with the hope of Heaven and the Everlasting love of my Father.
