FAQ:

Q: "Where are you located?"
A: You haven't been paying attention, have you? It says on the front page. We are in Niagara Falls. That's Ontario,
CANADA, okay? If you want to call us, please keep in mind that we are on Eastern Standard Time.

Q: "I'm in some far flung corner of the country/world/galaxy/etc, but I'd really like one of your pups. Do you ship?"
A: Well... our intergalactic spaceship is in the repair shop right now...
  To answer your question, though:
Generally, we don't ship. Let us know where you are located, as the odd time we may be able to make a special arrangement.

Q: "I want a beagle with a brown head, not a black head. Do you have any of those?
A: Actually, all of those black noggened pups will have brown heads. Really.
You still don't believe me, do you?
Some puppies ARE born with brown heads, while others are black, yes. BUT all of the puppies will, in time, develope their typical brown heads. Just give it time.

Q: "I just want a companion beagle. I don't need any special papers. What is the point in registering?"
A: Glad you asked. We view the papers as almost an "insurance" policy on your dog. Although it sounds morbid, and ideally it never happens, you NEVER know when your family is killed in an accident, or something, and your dog now has no one to care for it. If your pup ends up at the pound, the papers make an otherwise common dog now "worth" more.
And that's just ONE example. There are a 100 other things that could happen. It really, really, really, REALLY is worth registering your beagle. (Plus you get fancy papers and can brag, heehee.)

Q: "Well, then, why don't you register your pugs?!"
A: Uh, well, coz most people don't want to spend over $1000 on a registered pug. That's what they go for when registered.
AND beagles and pugs are very different. The chances of a pug spending more than a day at the pound are very, very, very slim. The chances of a beagle, on the other hand...
  You get the point.
(Personally, *I* (Lauraly), prefer the beagles.)

Q: "What is microchipping?"
A: Microchipping is just like what it sounds like. It is a microchip. This microchip, which is inserted under the dog's skin with a needle (less painful than it sounds) is proof that your dog belongs to YOU.
If your dog is stolen (common with beagles for labratory work, and common for pugs because they are expensive dogs) or becomes lost, you have a way of relocating your dog.
Tags can fall off and so can collars. Microchips, though, cannot be removed except by surgery.*
If the Humane Society picks up your dog, is it regular procedure to scan for a chip. If your dog is picked up, scanned, and has a chip, the Humane Society will know who to contact.
Although... trust in the Humane Society isn't fool proof. Once two of our dogs ran off, and the H.S. picked them up. They "forgot" to scan. (*sarcastic* Oh, how convenient...)
Anyway, MOST H.S.'s and MOST of the time, the H.S. WILL scan. Even if they don't, and you call, and request for them to scan, it is still proof your dog belongs to you.
ALSO, if your dog is found by someone, and they keep him/her, if they then go to get Fido microed, all vet's have to scan a dog (even a puppy) before they can insert a chip. The scanner will pick up the previous chip, and your dog will be reunited with you.
I guess you could say that example is a long shot, but microchips ARE in many ways a good investment. A one time cost, and, once again, another good form of "insurance."

*You CAN, however, still transfer ownership of a dog.
Q: "What kind of temperment do beagles/pugs/puggles have?"
A: They are excellent with kids, good with other animals, good with older people. They are friendly and affectionate.
Beagles love to play, and are born hunters. There is a saying about beagles that goes: Nose goes down, ears go off.
Pugs are a bit lazier. They still enjoy playing though, especially with kids, and they like to sit on laps.
Puggles are a half and half cross between beagles and pugs, and are a bit like both breeds.
They aren't natural runners like the beagles, and they don't generally snort and snore like the pugs.

Q: "What are puggles?"
A: See above, or click
here for pictures.

Q: "What are peagles?"
A: Peagles are one of our exclusive cross breeds. They are 3/4 beagle, and 1/4 pug.

Q: "Do you take cheques?"
A: Yes and no.
  For deposits, yes, we will.
But to fully buy your puppy, no. Only cash, or CERTIFIED cheque for that. You wouldn't believe how many people will try to rip you off with cheques. Sure, YOU know you're honest, but WE have no way of knowing!
