Chapter 33
Oxford University

This was Erin's second time being on her own but this time she's starting a new chapter of her life in England as a student of Ancient Studies. The campus that she was in was near the medical campus which was 4 yards away heading east but she didn't want to thinking about seeing Devante just yet because she wanted to explore her campus and find her dorm room. Her dorm was located in the south wing of the building and it was much different from what she read in the brochures because this dorm room had two dorms attached. Her door number was 11c and the next dorm was 11d but they had to share the same livingroom and kitchen. There was already a built in washroom in the dorm rooms so Erin didn't have to worry about sharing with a lot of people. She got to her room and found her roommates things on the chosen bed already so she took the one that was on the left corner of the room. There were three people sharing the same bedroom and there was Lillian Kaznowski, Christina Appleton and including Erin herself. In the next room were the guys and their names were William Gray, Mario Simmons, and Zachary Taylor. Erin set her things on her bed and put her books for her courses on her bed shelves then went out to the kitchen to get something to drink.

"I am so going to kill you for pulling the prank on me." Cried Lillian.

"Ohh! What you going to do? Go home and cry to your mommy." Said William as he teased her.

"William! Why don't you quit bugging me okay?" Asked Lillian.

"I can't because I like teasing you and seeing you mad. You face goes all red just like what is doing right now." Said William.

"You know what I am not going to waste my time talking to you. I am going to my room to read my book. Good bye!" Said Lillian as she slammed the door.

"Oh dear!" Shouted out Erin.

"Who said that?" Asked William in a curious voice.

"Sorry I didn't mean to listen on in but I was just getting a glass of drink and you guys just happen to have an argument and I didn't want to barge in so I just tried my best to ignore it. So now I am going to go in the room now." Said Erin.

"Wait not so fast! What's your name?" Asked William.

"I'm Erin Dee Chan and you name is?" Asked Erin.

"I'm William Gray but I'm sure you must have caught my first name while Lillian was calling it out. Don't mind the situation you just overhead there because I knew her since a child and I've always pulled pranks on her. Wait a minute! Are you the daughter of Sandra Dee Chan? Asked William.

"Yes that's me." Said Erin.

"You mother's work is known through this university and for a woman with that many talents is no wonder she has a magnificent daughter that's like a pure genius." Said William.

"Well I would call myself a genius because I didn't discover the formula for cold fusion. I am just here to study Modern Ancient Studies." Replied Erin.

"How do you like it so far?" Asked William.

"Well I just got here and I didn't even explored that much. I'm just anxious for class to begin tomorrow in the morning." Said Erin.

"England is great and maybe I can show you around sometime because I know my way around the city because I've lived here all my life." Said William.

"That's great! That was my guess anyway that you are from here because you have this same accent that my mother does and every time she does that just makes me admirer her more." Said Erin.

"I didn't know that you mother does an accent. I read many of her earlier novels and I haven't really pictured her having an English accent." Said William.

"That's why my father loves her because she can always put on a show and get his toe walking again." Said Erin.

"I see so I guess you must of come from a happy wealthy family then." Said William.

"Happy yes but wealthy I can't say because my family has lost track of the money that's been rolling in. My mother had saved college funds for me since the day that I was born so I didn't have to work for it much." Said Erin.

"See! You are so lucky because of some of us, we have to work our behinds just to continue education." Said William.

"Yes I know because my friends back in Toronto had to work in restaurants and wait on people. While I had the time of my life but I did work at my mother's salon place just serving bubble tea drinks and ringing in the cash." Said Erin.

"Wow! Your mother is a business owner as well." Said William in amazement.
"Yes she is. Sue ran the Short Looks Beauty Salon and made my mother partner because she brought in a lot of sales and until this day the profits are still up the roof. Right now my cousin Yannie is running the place for Sue and my mother but they do come by to see the business productivity." Said Erin.

"Man it must be great to have Sandra Dee as your mother." Said William.

"It is great because without her I wouldn't be here today and without her true love for my father then my brother and I wouldn't not be in this world today. It was her faith in the lord that gave her the strength to make it this far and in was her belief in the power of fate that binds everyone together." Said Erin.

"You are so much like her and I can tell by the looks that your mother was a pretty young woman." Said William.

"Yes she was and still is. If it was for long harsh lessons and teachings of morals and believing then I wouldn't have met my fianc Devante Julian Henderson either." Said Erin.

"Wow! You're engaged. I guess I came in a little too late in your life." Said William.

"I guess you did but there is someone for you. Right now you just can't see it because you either been to blind to see your fate hasn't present you the right person yet." Said Erin.

"So how long have you known your fianc Devante?" Asked William.

"I've known him since I was a baby because he was actually my mother's godson which is also the son of her college roommate. At the age of 6 I had a crush on him and years after I didn't hear from him since. It was a high school field trip for Geography to reunite me with him and until that day him and me have been inseparable. Fate presented him to me on that day and there was another time that fate has presented him to me in Cambodia. Without even discussing anything else I just found out a year ago that he's attending the same school but is studying Oriental Medicine." Said Erin.

"Wow! That is really interesting and I guess fate has planned everything for you." Said William.

"Yes it has because only god leads fate and if you believe in god then he will help you anyway he that he can but of course you would have to be unselfish. My mother has always said do not worry about your love life just concentrate on your goal and dream then fate will present itself." Said Erin.

"That is so profound and I wish that my mother was a candle to her." Said William.

"Don't say that. Every parent has there own unique qualities and no one is ever suppose to compare one another. Honor thy mother, honor thy father and honor your neighbor then you shall never do wrong in the eyes of god." Said Erin.

"Erin are you a Christian?" Asked William.

"Actually I like to keep my options open when it comes to beliefs. I know that god is the only creator but I can't help to stop and listen to the teachings of Buddhist religion either." Said Erin.

"So you have a Buddhist religion background?" Asked William.

"My mother as a child believed that she was a Buddhism but then as she grew older her brother brought her to church one day and decided to change beliefs that she was lost of what religion she really belonged to. I think she is still trying to figure it out but she prays in god most of the time but lights up an incense for her ancestors." Said Erin.

"As for me I don't have a religions beliefs but I do have something to believe in but trying to find out what religion I belong to is hard and complicated enough." Said William.

"So what are you studying?" Asked Erin.

"I am studying Classical Greek History." Said William.

"Interesting because back in high school I have done classical civilization and I was so inspired that I wanted to learn more history and maybe one day discover a piece of Greek or Roman history." Said Erin.

"Awesome! One question what is your background?" Asked William.

"Glad you asked because it's really confusing. My mother she's Cambodian and partially Chinese. My father he's Chinese half Vietnamese and Laos so I don't know what that would make me but the best word to describe is I am mixed and proud of it." Replied Erin.

"Nice! I wish I was mixed but I am not because the only background I have is American." Said William.

"It was nice talking to you William but I'm going in my room now because I need catch up on some reading." Said Erin.

"Sure thing and it was great talking with you. It made it seem like I knew how your mother was like as well." Said William.

They each went to their rooms to do their own things. Erin went on her bed to read a book about Roman history and so far was in the middle of the book when Christina start barging in the room steaming up over nothing. Christina was tall with blonde hair and had one pair of the nice blue eyes that Erin had ever seen. Christina was also an American but she wasn't from England she was from Boston Bay.

"I don't mean to sound rude but can you please stop you babbling because I am trying to read a book here." Said Lillian.

"Sorry I didn't mean to disturb and of you two reading but I just had an argument with my boyfriend and sometimes I just get the feeling that he probably wants to end things over." Said Christina as her voice raised even louder.

"Sorry to intrude in your conversation here ladies but maybe you and your boyfriend have some trust issues. May I ask what the argument was a bout?" Asked Erin.

"Okay I known him since high school and we have never had an argument before and now he's just beginning to start one. I told him that I was going to Oxford but he known me not to go because it was too far for him. I told him that going to this school was my dream and I don't want to destroy my dreams just because he's a scared of a little distance. Then he started to babble words out just like when he did in the 9th grade and he does that only when he is confused and frustrated about something. Then I said no matter what you say I am still going to be here in Oxford. So the case is dropped then he shouts at me then just told me to leave and so I did." Cried Christina.

"That sounds awful! I hate when boyfriends are like that and I thought they are suppose to do things right so that the girlfriend would be happy. The know the saying if you love someone, let them go and from what I heard so far he probably doesn't love you at all. He was to conceit because he was only thinking of what was best for him to have you around and never thought that you had to leave him behind. He didn't think of what you wanted and what made you happy." Said Lillian.

"I see the situation differently. Don't interrupt please and just let me explain my points of view on what I just heard. You two have known each other since high school and it lasted for more than 4 years. If that isn't love than I don't know what is, he loved you too much that he didn't think that you would have to leave him one day. He's afraid of losing you to another guy and he doesn't trust you in a country that is far from him. He keeps you close so that he can cherish as many memories with you but with you gone he can't trust him self because the more distance that is set between you too there might be some body else that you would find interesting. The funny thing about trust is that he probably does trust you but he doesn't trust the other men that you would meet and they would probably do everything to get your number that he's afraid to admit that he's jealous. Fate had brought you two the first time around but there are obstacles that you two must overcome. If you chose to be here then there is nothing for you to think of any further just focus on your goal and you dream while you wait for fate to present itself again." Said Erin.

"Wow! Nicely put not only that you gave one point of view but you also gave it another point of view to make it positive. I like that prospective and I really didn't thought about it that way because I never believed in fate. I just met my boyfriend Steven Daniel at the hallway while I was walking and he was hanging around with his jocks that he didn't see me walking that he bumped into me and knocked my books down then he picked it up." Said Christina.

"That is fate because it led you to each other at the right time and the right place at the same time." Said Erin.

"Holy women! Are you like a religious person or something?" Asked Lillian.

"Actually I am still trying to figure that out. I pray to the lord and learn some things from the bible but at the same time I am also being taught about different religions so I like to keep my options open." Said Erin.

"Sorry I am like hearing your great advice on my relationship but I didn't get your name." Said Christina.

"No need for apology because I'm the one that didn't introduced myself to you. My name is Erin Dee Chan." Said Erin.

"I see so youre the famous novelist's daughter." Said Lillian.

"Yes that's me and maybe I should just stop introducing myself with the last name but my mother has always told me that when I am introducing myself always say your full name, first, middle and last because that's the proper way and it is also for respects and manners." Said Erin.

"I'm Christina Appleton." Said Christina.

"And I am Lillian Kaznowski." Said Lillian.

"It's nice to meet you both ladies." Said Erin.

"So what is it like to have a mother like Sandra Dee?" Asked Christina. "Well there is no difference because she's just the same as any other mother and it's not like she's a saint but she is my hero and I love her." Said Erin.

"Man! You must be lucky to be standing here with the daughter of the famous novelist and it feels like I know her myself." Said Lillian.

"Yes I know I get that all the time." Said Erin.

"Whoa! That is one big ring on your finger." Said Christina as she stared down at Erin's hand.

"Yes it was passed down by my fianc's grandmother." Said Erin.

"Wow! You're so young and you are already engaged. Who is this lucky person?" Asked Christina.

"I like to say that we are both lucky. I was born in Boston and was living in his house as a baby but then when I was a year old my mother moved back to her home in Toronto then when his family came for a visit for Christmas holiday of 2015. I was 6 years of age when I had my first crush with him and my mother seen that. Then I lost contact with him for years but happen to find each other in Europe. I was there for a Geography field trip and he was there to supervise the students because he volunteered. We discovered our feelings but didn't see much of each other because he lives all over Asia and moves around a lot so he didn't really have an address that I can send letters to. Then my last summer vacation I went to Cambodia with my entire family and I met him there as well. A poisonous snake bit me and he was there to heal me because that's what he's done for most of the missing years. When I got accepted to Oxford he just then told me that he attends there as well but almost finish with his studies. He's two years older than I am but our love is so great that it's rare as my mother's love for my father." Said Erin.

"That is such a touching history and I wish that I can meet somebody is like." Said Lillian.

"Maybe you have and you just can't see it." Said Erin.

"Yah! Like who?" Asked Lillian.

"What about that William person that I seen you mouthing him off for pulling a prank on you?" Asked Erin.

"William! Gosh I can't think of him any other way because I known him since a child and if I date him it will be like dating my own brother." Said Lillian.

"I'd say you are both in denial. Don't you realize that you are the only one you tease because you are a better target and he loves it when you get mad because your face sparks with redness that it glows. You probably like the teasing because no body ever does that to you and you enjoy it because he's such a comfort but you deny that you ever have feelings because your afraid to ruin the long time friendship that you two have since a child." Said Erin.

"Oh my gosh! Are you like reading my mind?" Asked Lillian in surprise and shock.

"No it's noticeable and that is also how my parents has meant as well. Well they meant out side of the parking lot while he was playing ball hockey that she was smite by him for a very long time. My dad found our years later within her poetry then the teasing and torture came along but my mother loved it because it made her laugh. I am not talking about a beating torture or anything, you see my mother is very ticklish and so my dad would always tickle her in many ways that it remain a routine." Said Erin.

"Wow! It's like fate runs down your family or something." Said Christina.

"It's just you have to believe in the will power of fate and be able to recognize it as well." Said Erin.

"So what is your fianc's name?" Asked Lillian.

"His name is Devante Julian Henderson." Said Erin.

"That is a very nice name and it probably suits him pretty well." Said Lillian.

"It does." Said Erin.

As the girls were talking somebody knocked on the door so Christina opened it since she was standing by it. She released the doorknob to find a handsome guy standing upon the door that she lost her train of thought but then as he asked for Erin she just awoke from her fantasy.

"Devante what are you doing here?" Asked Erin.

"You forgot several things in my suitcase silly so I thought I bring it to you since I still have spare time." Said Devante.

"Thanks Devante. Oh there are my roommates Christina Appleton and Lillian Kaznowski." Said Erin.

"It's a pleasure in meeting you both ladies. How you like it here so far Erin?" Asked Devante.

"It's great but I haven't gone exploring yet and I am just anxious for class to begin to tomorrow." Said Erin.

"Yes I know you are because you are play around with your fingers when you are excited and anxious to do something. That's what I love about you and it's so adorable how you try to stay calm at the same time." Said Devante.

"Okay that's enough now because you are so going to bet me blush that I can't focus." Said Erin.

"Okay I will stop but listen I have to get back to my dorm and maybe we can meet up on the weekends so that I can show you around. I love you." Said Devante.

"I can't wait! I love you too." Said Erin.

"Oh my god! Your fianc is so handsome and now I can see why you held on to him for so long." Said Lillian.

"It's not because of his looks. I fell in love with the person that's inside of him and he's my only soulmate." Said Erin.

"Man! It's like you guys are a match made in heaven." Said Christina.

"I know because fate has presented him to me one too many times." Said Erin.

Morning has just arrived and Erin woke up to attend her first class and she had never been in a room so bed before it was bigger than an auditorium put together. Desks were align together by the shape of the room and in the front lies the professor's desk and since no body was in class yet. Erin took the first row seat so that she would be able to see the board. About 30 minutes pass everyone started rolling in class and Erin had been around a lot of people before but this room was packed with 120 students of all race but mostly she had seen Greeks and Russians. She only counted about 10 Asians in the class but she couldn't tell what kind of language they spoke because of them looked Cambodian. The professor was the last to come in and he introduced himself to the as Jeremiah Gemadiah but of course his students would have to call him by his last name. All through out high school Erin had many male teachers and when it came to Mr. Gemadiah he seem just like one of the students because his appearance didn't look that old for his age. He was tall handsome and had spike blonde brown hair but Erin couldn't figure out his background but she can see that a lot of women in her class had a crush on him. Erin was the only person that didn't stare at his looks but instead tried to stare pass him so that she would see the board and write down the outline of the first lecture, which was Roman history. Erin spent a few weeks in Europe Rome so she already known some of the Roman history but this lecture uncovered the further details of their history and Erin just loved exploring history.

After hours of talking and listening class was over and Erin had to head to her next class which was Language and Literature but although she had never took any language courts in high school she just wanted to take this course see if it gave her a challenge. She always known that she was naturally gifted and just a half an hour siting in that class and receiving the language and speech Erin was able to acknowledge it that her Latin became fluent. About another half an hour Erin was able to read and write in peg Latin. For this class her professor is a woman and her name is Laurie Harritun. Ms. Harritun had a sweet and gentle voice that sometimes it was hard for her students to understand her so if a student really wanted to learn the class had to be in complete silence in order to hear the lecture. For this class Erin sat in the second row because the first row was all taken and reserved for people but Erin didn't mind because she still could see the board from where she was seated. Since it was the first day of class Ms. Harritun didn't give any homework or assignments out but she did send everybody off to read a few pages for next class.

She exit out of class to put her books away then went out to the livingroom to fix something up because she didn't know the campus very well to get something to eat. As she open the fridge some of her roommates enter the livingroom and it was William and the guys that just came back from class as well. Someone else was also there, as well and his voice sounds too familiar to Erin that she closed the fridge and went to Devante to give him a hug.

"Hey you! I was beginning to miss you." Said Erin.

"I was missing you too but now you don't have to worry because I am here." Said Devante.

"I guess all of you fellows know each other." Said Erin.

"Of course because Devante here is our senior and he is also a teacher's assistant so we have to know him." Said Mario.

"So this is the lucky woman that you been telling us about earlier." Said Zachary.

"Yes fellows! This is my special lady that I will soon marry when her college years are over." Said Devante.

"Ah! You been talking about me no wonder my left eye was twitching all day today." Said Erin.

"Well I must of mention your name ever since the moment that you got here. Erin did you email your parents yet because they might wonder how you are cooping with the environment." Said Devante.

"I haven't got the chance in doing that yet but I'm sure she wouldn't be worried because she has a lot of things to keep her busy. How ever I will write her an email later on in the weekend or so." Said Erin.

"That's good to know." Said Devante.

"What about your parents? Any changes yet." Asked Erin.

"No changes yet but the doctor said that he'll call me and let me know." Said Devante.

"I hope that they get better soon because I want them to know that we are engaged now." Said Erin.

"I think my parents does know in a way because I known my mother that I would marry you some day but then I was a child back then and she didn't take my words seriously. She thought I was just saying that you know the playing house marriage thing." Said Devante.

"Yes I know the playing house thing although I never played it as a child." Said Erin.

"So when are you guys planing to have your wedding?" Asked William.

"We haven't decided yet." Said both Devante and Erin.

"I am so jealous of your relationship Devante." Said Mario.

"You don't have to be and one day you will meet that special lady." Said Devante.

"Erin did you eat yet?" Asked Devante.

"Well I was preparing something but you guys came in that you have distracted me from my cooking." Said Erin.

"Really you cook." Said Zachary.

"Yes I cook and I am great at it. I've learnt how to crack and egg when I was 2 then at the age of 4 I've learnt how to bake chocolate chips cookie then. At the age of 8 I've learnt how to stir-fry but right now I am just making a simple deli sandwich because I was craving for it since morning." Said Erin.

"Erin can you also make me a deli sandwich as well because I'm kind of getting hungry again and I know that your home style deli sandwich would fill me up until the end of the night." Said Devante.

"Sure! I'll make you a sandwich but only on one condition." Said Erin.

"Name it and it is yours." Said Devante.

"You must get rid of that little facial hair that is beginning to grow because when I kiss you it just scratches me." Said Erin.

"Oh that thing! Considered it gone by tonight. Anything else!" Said Devante.

"Now that you mention it. I want you to take me to the movies on Saturday but you must stick around to watch a chick movie." Said Erin.

"Awe! Does it have to be a chick movie? I don't like chick movies. I like action and suspense thriller." Said Devante.

"No, chick movie. No, deli sandwich." Said Erin.

"Woman! You drive a hard bargain but then that is what I love about you. Okay I'll watch a chick movie with you but only if you'll watch a horror movie a couple weeks after." Said Devante.

"Anything but horror. You know how I can when it comes to horror I don't even think I'll be able to sleep. I remember on Halloween night when a group of friends and I went to a haunted house we screamed like mad then my brother pulled a trick on me saying that there was a ghost behind me. Only to find out that it wasn't his friend so we didn't want to stick around and find out so we ran home to our parents. Eric and I couldn't sleep so we slept in our parent's room to avoid nightmares but I still had it." Said Erin as she was making the deli sandwiches.

"Are old were you?" Asked William.

"I was 16 at that time." Said Erin.

"Okay 16 I can understand but you now 18 and you still can't get over nightmares." Said William.

"Hey! I just hate horror films but I wouldn't mind watching a suspense thriller. My mother was scared of horror movies too thats probably why I am scared of horror film too." Said Erin.

"Okay no horror film. We'll watch a Romantic movie. How about that?" Asked Devante.

"Sound's great. Thank you Hun." Said Erin as she handed him one of the sandwiches.

"So what class do you have after lunch?" Asked Devante.

"I think it's Greek literature." Said Erin.

"You're taking Greek literature. Isn't English already enough." Said William.

"I just like learning a lot of literatures so that I can be able to translate ancient tablets if I ever discover one that hasn't been discovered by anyone yet." Said Erin.

"I guess you have your future all plan out." Said Devante.

"Yes and part of it, is with you Hun." Said Erin as she kissed him on his cheeks.

"Yes indeed." Said Devante.

"Anyway fellows I must leave and go to my next class so I'll see you all later." Said Erin.

"Man! You are so lucky to have her in your life." Said Mario.

"Yes I know and I don't know what I'll do if I ever lost her." Said Devante.

"Well look at the time. It's time for our second class." Said Zachary.

"Yes it's time for mine as well so I'll see you guys around the campus." Said Devante as he exits the dorm to his class.

Greek Literature has just begun and Erin has felt that she has entered a parallel universe because all she seen were sculptures and real settings of Ancient Greek as if she was there. She was very stoke to be in this class and not only because the text in the book were translated but it gave her the sense of history that the things that she would be learning is all about these valuable possession. Greek Literature had a different style in writing and they were pretty famous with their plays as well but more was known for their Greek Tragedy and they divided their plays into 4 category, which are basically farce, comedy, melodrama and tragedy. In this class Erin has learnt about who Aeschylus was and he is the first old grand master of drama and he mostly writes playwright of tragedy and the best-known play was Agamemnon (Oresteia, part 1) and this is about Clytemnestra holding revenge again Agamemnon and Cassandra so what she done was killed Agamemnon as he walks down the palace with Cassandra and she to dies in the hands of Queen Clytemnestra. Here the theme of the play was about revenge over Agamemnon, at which Clytemnestra has succeeded. He began writing in the year of 458 BC in Athens and he, himself has acted his plays about his own life. Aeschylus was awarded for thirteen prizes and only 7 of his 74 works only survived, his death was in 455 BC and reports say that the cause of his death was by the turtle falling down on his head. Erin had read plays before but it was all William Shakespeare but these Greek plays have brought a new attention to her eyes.

The next person to win over Aeschylus plays was Sophocles that won his first victory against the grand old master, Aeschylus in the Dionysus feast, where they are performing in front of audience. The first tragedian who brought up the third actor was Sophocles. He was born at Colonus, near Athens; he grew up into the golden age at Pericles. The story of the Greek tragedy were very familiar to the Greek audience knowing how the presentation was new to the audience and could be interpret or comment on- the relations of god to men, the individual conflict with the state, the audience would recognize them all. To him the chorus always had an important part of the action, but the imitations of the conflict between men and god were the major issue of the Greek tragedians. He wrote about a hundred of plays but only seven survived and there was Antigone, Opedipus the king and Electra are the example of Greek tragedy. His nickname was Attic Bee because he can easily find interesting piece of literature and form new ideas for the example the play that he first wrote was called the Opedipus and the tragedy line was both terror and fear. His plays were basically on Physcoanalysis and were planned out to exposition and preliminary situation in order to get an audience and the reader worked up. The theme of Antigone focuses on more on the laws of human and god because it is impossible to follow both laws so she had to break one. His death was in 405 BC and only 7 of his work survived out of the 123 plays he written.

When Erin had read a few lines of Sophocles plays she was very moved and at the same time emotional because she understood every word and can picture every expression that was placed on those actors. The last Greek Tragedian that she learnt about was Euripides and he was from a very poor family but he was the only one that was educated and he wrote about 72 plays but at which only 19 has been saved. Euripides was a Greek tragedian who followed Sophocles footsteps. His plays focus life of a Greek and how that persons life was a misery. One of his play that he has written was called Andromache and this was basically on how women was an object of prizes. Andromache at first was the wife of Hector then after his death against the Trojan War, Andromache was given to Neoptolemus of Thessaly and had a son, Molossus. Neoptolemus had married another wife, Hermoine, daughter of king Menelaus. Hermoine had blamed Andromache for the infertility of her having no child and claimed that she was a witch, so Neoptolemus was murdered at Delphi and tries to murder Andromache and her son but Peleus, father of Neoptolemus saved the life of the mother and son. After the death of Neoptolemus, Andromache was given to someone else. As you can see the tragedy is all surrounded with Andromache. Another play that Euripides has written was called the Bacchae where the kings guard has provoked the celebrant women, who put the guard to flight and on a rage that he rip a number of five cattle limb to limb. Dionysus had stabbed the women and started bleeding to death. A tragedy has a terrible ending but it gives the audience fear and terror and making the audience want to know more of what happens further. Another of his play was Helen and Medea. Medea has her tragedy and it all happened when she had killed her brother and left her father to go with Jason to Corinth. Medea and Jason got married and had two children. Together then Jason had left her to marry another women. Medea and her two sons were banished so to get even with Jason, Medea had set his princess bride to fire and her father dies trying to save her. Medea then kills her two sons with a sword in order to get even with Jason. She wished that she had never followed Jason to Corinth and Jason felt grief for his two dead sons. In this play is a very difficult issue where as a person went mad just to get even with her former husband and not realizing that she was doing this in a form of jealousy. Here on this play also shown a tragedy and that it might happen to others and that its not just a play of justice or laws of god or man. Euripides death was in 406 BC and was killed by wild dogs in Pella.

As Erin read further she was more familiarize with the life of Greek and also the way that they had captured audiences attention because within a few hours just reading books, it had caught her attention that she didn't want to get out of class when it was over. Suddenly when she looked up she realized that a new set of students came in and she was so embarrassed that she got up and walked out calmly instead of rushing.

Erin's next class was English 101 and in that same class stood out William who was sitting in the far back on the right end of the room. Erin still chose to seat in the front row and she didn't care what people thought of her because she was there to learn. Her professor for this class was also a female and her name was Ms. Emily Jenkins and she had one of the longest hair that Erin had ever seen before and from root to tip her hair seem so healthy and not a dead hair in sight. With this class it wasn't about reading plays of William Shakespeare or writing book reports like you were still in high school but this course was about analyzing books and old letters. Erin enjoyed this class as well and it wasn't because of the funny faces that William makes in class but because it gave her a challenge that her high school English course couldn't have given. The students would sit on their seats for hours and having open table discussions, which Erin loved the most because she always can raise up a conversation and have a discussion brought then the next thing that would happen was a class debate.

Ms. Jenkins loved Erin's enthusiastic energy and enjoyed listening to her talk with such confidence and passion to the Language of English. Ms. Jenkins was also a fan of Erin mother's work as well but that didn't prevent her from teaching and giving the marks the right way. The epiphany of them all was to be able to stand among the class and speak your mind to grow more knowledge and independence. Within that reason Ms. Jenkins knew that Erin would do great in her class and one-day can pass on the lessons learnt to younger students. Everyone that known Sandra's work had only stared at Erin's eyes and treating her like a celebrity but people who didn't know her mother's work would see Erin for the real her and not just a novelist daughter.

Class was long but it's now over and the first thing that Erin had done when she got out of class was do her 2 weeks worth of laundry because while she was on the road she didn't get a chance to do any. She went downstairs to the laundry mat and unloads her clothes in to the washer and sat on the laundry machine and just read some more books. As she was waiting for the washer machine to finish somebody approached her and knocked her one of her books off her hands. Erin didn't know who she was or what kind of issues that she had with Erin but she didn't want to find out and pick a fight. She just got off her washer machine picked up her book then started to continue her reading but then the girl knocked her book down again.

"Look! I don't know what I have done to have deserve this kind of treatment from you so why don't you enlighten me and tell me what the heck your problem is lady." Shouted out Erin.

"You're my problem! Just because you mother is a novelist it doesn't make you a celebrity you shouldn't be getting all that attention on you because you are not all that." Yelled Tracy Flannington.

"What makes you think I would want all those attention? I haven't gave anyone the slightest chance to think that I am all that and I definitely don't think of myself like that. So before you start judging me why don't you do some more research and find out the real deal!" Explained Erin.

"Please! It's all written all over you. The way you walk, the way you talk, the way you seat up in class and trying to get every professor's in your trap so that they can give you high marks. You just better stay out of my way or else you will have your face pound against the walls." Said Tracy as she threatens Erin.

"Excuse me! Look woman I don't even know you and more or less take your audience away. Do you enjoy torturing people and making them miserable? Is it a game to you? I am simply here to learn because I love it! I will earn my marks the right way and I have never used my mother's name to enhance my passing grades. So stop predicting things and passing such notions about me because in the end you would have no body with that kind of behavior. I just feel sorry for your parents to have such a rude person for a daughter." Said Erin as she unloads her clothes out of the washer then into the dryer.

"You don't know anything about and definitely not my parents so don't even start bringing them in all right." Shouted out Tracy.

"My point exactly! You barged in and putting implications upon me so right their lady you were judging me. You don't know anything about me nor my mother so why don't you turn around and walk the other directions." Said Erin as she pointed to the exit.

"This battle you might of won but you better watch you back!" Yelled Tracy as she stormed out the door.

As Tracy stormed out Devante came in the laundry room because he was also doing his laundry as well but his clothes were now finish and was just picking it up. He seen the look on Erin's face and he knew that she was upset and angry with someone or something.

"Erin, sweetie what's wrong?" Asked Devante.

"I don't know! I was reading my book peacefully then this girl with long red hair with skimpy clothes started to knock my books off my hands so I went and picked up then she knocked it again. She started to pick a fight and saying that I was acting all that and liked the attention. I didn't even do anything wrong but why did this person tried so hard to make me miserable?" Cried Erin.

"You poor thing. Look don't think about it too much and probably she's just a person that loves to bully people around because she's not receiving the kind of love that she needs at home. Wait! Was it the girl that stormed out of the laundry room when I walked in?" Asked Devante.

"Yes that's her and I don't even know her but why can she judge me like that?" Asked Erin.

"Her name is Tracy Flannington and she's the richest snob ever to attend in this school. She likes the attention that people bring her and with you being here the attention has all went to you so she's affected by it and is jealous." Said Devante.

"What makes you think that I want any of that kind of attention? If she wants it that bad she can have it. The people have their own minds and it's not my fault if they admirer my mother's work. Every time people look at me I feel like the whole world is on my shoulder and I don't think I can handle it no more. I'm losing my sense of concentration here and if she keeps on starting a fight with me I don't think I can finish off school." Said Erin.

"Sweetie, you're a wonderful person and anything that you learn from here will be on your own potential and not based on your famous mother. Just take this as one obstacle in your life that you have to surpass then with it being done. You will no longer have to worry about it. This whole drama shouldn't affect you and remember I love you for who are you and not simply because youre a daughter of a novelist and may I remind you that your mother has also been a mother to me as well. If she gives you a hard time again you can ignore her or just simply try to find out why she's lonely." Said Devante.

"Enough of this because I don't think I want to even think about it. What's in the agenda tonight?" Asked Erin as she took her clothes out of the dryer.

"Okay I know a place that will take your mind off of things. I'll meet you outside the campus." Said Devante.

"Okay!" Said Erin as she exits then head upstairs to put her clothes away.

Devante took Erin to tour around England then brought her in front of the Royal palace that it blown Erin away when she had seen the size of the palace. There were palace guards that stood out all day and not moving or a blinking an inch and since Devante knew one of the royal guards he begged him to let them in so that she can see the palace inside. The royal guard let them in but they had to be hidden so that they wouldn't be caught because then that will cost one of the guards his job.

"Devante what are we doing here?" Asked Erin.

"I just wanted to show you the palace garden." Said Devante.

"We are not suppose to be here. If we get caught it will be our heads and that nice royal guard." Said Erin.

"Don't worry because when you see it, it will be all worth it and you know I will do anything to make you happy." Said Devante.

"How would know you if getting caught would make me happier?" Asked Erin.

"It's not getting caught but it's seeing the garden that will make your eyes spark." Said Devante.

As they entered the garden the scenery did spark Erin's eye indeed. She saw a sculpture of her mother on the fountain and on the plaque it was written the most famous novelist to be named a title of a woman of fate. Erin kneeled down and greeted her mother as she cried because the Queen herself admirer Sandra and thought she was a god sent. Suddenly two guards spotted them then took them in for questioning.

"We didn't mean to do anything wrong." Replied Erin in terror.

"I just wanted to show her the garden and we didn't mean no harm." Said Devante.

"Unhand them this instant!" Shouted a higher voice. It was the Queen her self in her royal dress and a lovely crown.

"But your majesty we seen them poking around in the garden and thought that they were paparazzi." Replied one of the guards.

"Do you see a video camera on them? Do you not know who this lovely young lady is? She's the daughter of the statue." Said the Queen.

"Sorry your majesty we did not know." Said the guards as they bowed down then depart.

"I hope the guards did not frighten you two." Said the Queen.

"Not at all your highness." Said Devante as he bowed down to greet the Queen of England.

"I do apologize your majesty because I didn't mean to cause any trouble. I do not know how to act in front of royalty your highness so please forgive me as I say Holy mother of Christ I am standing upon the presence of thy Queen of England and it is such an honor to be standing in your lovely palace." Said Erin as she knelt down.

"Oh please stand up young Erin and you don't need to bow down in front of me plus it is I that must greet you because your mother's work has covered a huge piece in my heart and also in my garden. I was informed when you were accepted into Oxford and I've seen your records and you are definitely gifted indeed and your fianc Devante is lucky to have you as your bride to be." Said the Queen.

"Wow! She knows my name." Whispered Erin.

"Of course she does silly because in most of your mother's books she dedicated it to her only family that she loves and adores most." Said Devante.

"Would you like to tour the library?" Asked the Queen.

"Oh no! I wouldn't want to intrude your highness." Said Erin.

"Your not intruding young Erin and I haven't had visitors to this palace in the longest time and not even my own grandsons have the time to visit me." Said the Queen.

"Well please do. Lead the way your highness." Said Erin.

"Are you excited Erin?" Asked Devante in a whispering voice.

"Yes and thank you for this lovely evening." Whispered Erin.

"Here we are! As you can see I have all her collections but the only one that is missing from all my collections is an autograph book that is sign by your mother." Said the Queen.

"If you want an autographed book my lady, I can get you one and I will be delighted to do so." Said Erin.

"It will be such a lovely gift. Thank you young Erin." Said the Queen.

"It's been such an incredible experience and thank you your highness for not beheading our heads." Said Devante.

"Oh my dear boy. We do not use those terms anymore. It is a new century and plus we give people a fair share warning and an explanation but I will not think as it's a crime." Said the Queen.

"Your highness is very bold and now I can see why you have hold your nation so well. I don't think my mother would believe me when I'll tell her that I been in the Palace of England and shared conversation and tea with the Queen herself." Said Erin.

"Your mother would believe if she has seen a photo." Said the Queen.

"Thank you so much your highness and I would never forget this day because it has brought me to many new expectations. I came here to learn about Ancient studies and now I came to learn that a sculpture of my mother is placed in the Palace of England." Said Erin as she bowed down and left the palace with Devante.

On there way back to the campus they have passed by the Buckingham Palace but eventually they didn't get to explore because it was getting too late and Erin had a lot of reading too do before class started in the morning. Devante dropped Erin to her dorm room and she thanked in for a lovely evening because it made her forget about Tracy and everything else.

Erin was too excited that she just went to her laptop to email her mother and tell her about the day she had and the email was like so long because she had a lot to say and it was like a two page essay if it was doubled space. It written:

Dear, Mom, Dad and Eric

Oxford is a beautiful city and I have just came here for two days and a lot have happen already. I attended all of my classes and everyone seem to know me through your books that everyone stared at me and treating me differently but there is one girl that really didn't like me. As I was doing my laundry this girl entered my life and she started to pick a fight and started yelling at me for no apparent reason. She said that I was grabbing all her audience and saying that I was a suck up and using your name to get my passing grade. She doesn't even know me mom why would she even judge me like that. I told Devante about it and he told me not to worry because that girl was just jealous and so he brought me to the Queen's Palace to see a garden. I know that I wasn't suppose to break any law but it was just this spontaneous thing that I had to do and it did make me feel better because as I stood in front of a fountain on top behold the statue of you mom. The Queen basically believed that youre a woman of fate and she has all of your collections of books and the only reason I know it because I met her in person and she's a magnificent ruler indeed. The only thing that she wants from you mom is an autograph copy of your book and she didn't care if it's an old one or a recent one. I had tea with her majesty and she was really elegant in her royal dress and her crown was stunning. Dad, how are you doing? I miss you both that it's driving me nuts if it wasn't for meeting the likes of Tracy I would of loved the University experience. She's making it miserable for me that I wanted to come home and just quit but seeing you on that fountain had gave me the strength to hang on and hang tight. Eric and I also miss our talks and our race because this University life is so different from high school, the rooms are big and each class has more than 150 students. I wish that I can be back home to visit you and attend your graduation this year but I don't know because my life here would be so hectic that I have to concentrate on passing with my knowledge and not with mom's title. I've seen the Buckingham palace on my way back from the Queen's palace and my roommates are very friendly. I'm sharing a room with two girls name Christina and Lillian and Lillian is the only one that's Russian because I known by her accent and her last name Kaznowski. The next rooms are the guys and their name are William, Mario and Zachary and get this we all share the same livingroom and kitchen but the washrooms are in our rooms. Mom I don't want to just learn in University but I also would like to find work as well but I don't think I have any work experience except when I've worked at the salon in customer service. Mom so if you can please send a copy of an autographed book of yours the Queen will be very much pleased and thankful but I can't write any further because I got some major reading to do for my Language and Literature class. So I will be off now and I will send a picture of us and the Queen over to you incase you don't believe the words that I am saying in this email.
Love,
Erin

Chapter 34
Eric's High school Graduation

9 months has passed and Erin had been in England for that amount as well but Erin didn't find time to write another email because she was busy preparing to study for short test then studying for the December exams that got her swapped. While her parents were waiting for their daughter to return for the Christmas holiday. Yet they were waiting to be disappointed because Erin couldn't come for the holidays because she found a job working in the Museum. Holidays were there busy time of the year but Erin did feel sorry for not coming so she sent a hand written letter instead of an email and also sent a few photos as well. Sandra how was very disappointed because she thought she would be able to hold her daughters hand and telling her that everything would be okay but at the same time is happy for her daughter because she found a job that suited her passion for history.

June has now arrived and Eric is getting ready for his high school graduation and he really wanted his sister to see him walk to the stand and give out his speech. Just like his sister, Eric has been voted for Valedictorian as well and his grades were off the chart and his parents believed that he could make it that far and they were very proud of both of their kids.

"Mom, have you gotten a chance to write Erin an email back?" Asked Eric.

"No, I haven't Eric but I was planning on doing that after your graduation because right now that is the main important thing." Said Sandra.

"Are you nervous Eric?" Asked Edwin.

"No, dad I'm actually excited to be delivering my speech to the whole audience." Said Eric.

"Well at least I got a son here that won't be going to a university that's far a way from the country." Said Sandra.

"That's right mom because my only interest is to get into York University but the only problem is that I haven't even received any packages." Said Eric.

"That's because I have it my boy. I wanted to surprise you!" Said Edwin.

"You sure did dad. Can you open it for me?" Asked Eric.

"All right I will open it but I'm not going to waste the time in reading all of what it says because I don't want us to be late for your graduation." Said Edwin.

"Just read it already Hunny because it seem like you're stalling now." Said Sandra.

"Ok I will. It says that Eric has been accepted in to York University and he starts in this September." Said Edwin.

"Congratulations Eric." Said Sandra.

"Thanks mom and dad but can we hold the tears now because I have a stage to walk through." Said Eric as he exits to the car and drove his parents to the ceremony.

Eric and his parents has just arrived to the ceremony and the whole area were packed and it was more graduates than before but it didn't make Eric nervous at all but it was more of a challenge for him to speak in front of many crowds.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, parents and guardian it is now an end of another school year as we watch our children graduate. It has been the best years that Weston High Tech has ever received and now without any dues I would like to call upon Eric Chan, who is this year's Valedictorian." Said Principal Wilson.

"Thank you Principal Wilson for that lovely introduction. Ladies and gentlemen, parents and guardian as you all know it is an end of another school year and it was been a great one indeed. I enjoyed coming to school and learning the lessons that needed to be taught for us to succeed in our dreams and to continue on to high education. This school ground has made its way to my heart and I've been here since 9th grade and this is where I met a lot of new faces and few became my friends. Our football team has never been defeated because we kept the spirit of the black fierce crow alive. I wanted to thank the people that had got me this far and that would be both of my parents and my sister for whom she graduated last year and living the life in Oxford. I will forever cherish this moment and as the foundation of Weston High Tech still stands people will keep on coming and leaving pursuing their dreams because this school has made it possible. Class of 2030 we did and shown the world of what we are made of. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2030." Shouted out Eric as he throw his cap up high and smiled at his parents.

"That's our boy Sandra." Cried Edwin.

"Yes the last of our seed and now next year he would be going off to University but the only thing is would he be still living at home or renting an apartment in campus? He has earned a lot of his own money and didn't even used that would of his savings either." Said Sandra.

"We will ask him after he comes back from his prom okay." Said Edwin.

"Eric congratulations!" Said Sandra.

"Thanks mom and I owe it all to you. You too dad! Thanks for being me into this world but although it isn't perfect but in my eyes you two are perfect." Said Eric.

"Okay smartie Let's go you got a prom to get ready for." Said Edwin.

"Dad! I'm not like a woman you know it doesn't take me that long to get ready." Said Eric.

"I know but you still got to get dress, style your hair then pick up your date." Said Edwin.

"By the way Eric, who is your date?" Asked Sandra.

"I'm going with a girl that I've known since grade 9 and she's really sweet but the thing is I feel differently around her that sometimes I find it difficult to speak." Said Eric.

"That's because you might be falling for her and not realizing it my boy." Said Edwin.

"No dad that can't be because I don't see Lucy as that and she's not the kind of person that finds me attractive but although she's been punching me in the arms a lot for no apparent reason.

"She's in love with you silly. A girl would never hit a guy unless if she's trying to pass signals to get you to notice her. But assault is a different story because I know my boy and he would never assault anyone." Said Sandra.

"That's right mom but how would I know if she's interested in me?" Asked Eric.

"You tell her how you really feel and don't dance around the subject because girls hate that." Said Sandra.

"Thanks mom." Said Eric.

Eric drove his parents home got ready then went off to pick up Lucy at her place in a limo and went to the prom that was held on a boat cruise. Lucy came out looking like a lady and she had the most beautiful silver dress on and even had a little crown on her head that it made it hard for Eric to tell her how he truly feels about her. He sucked in his gut and told her that he's having these feelings towards her that he just can't seem to control and every time she's in a room with another guy it gets him jealous. Eric told her that he was in love with you and she had waited for many years for him to say those words because she's been having the same feelings towards him since the first day that she laid eyes on him.

Chapter 35
Sandra's foundation

Sandra has really kept herself busy with both of her kids off recreating a new chapter in their life. Sandra began to feel lonely but it still didn't prevent her from writing her books and she did have an autograph of her book sent to Erin so that she would send it over to the Queen. If Sandra would have sent herself the palace guards might get suspicious about the package and might think it was a threat to the Queen and the whole nation of England. With that being done she began to have a new idea for her books to be displayed and she didn't want her books to be stalked in a local library but she wanted her books to stand out in a place where it is noticed and be cherished. Sandra made a foundation for children's books funding for those schools who can't afford to have new books for all the children. Sandra has bought an abandon building by her very old neighborhood and fixed it up then made it into a library of her very own books. She named her library the Foundation of Faith and Fate. With her husband helping her by her side she was able to complete it and just for style he also added scriptures on the wall to make it seem ancient because Edwin knew that Sandra would love it. On April 11 2031 was the grand opening of her foundation many people were lining up to read her books and Sandra also had hired a few people to help run the place and help those who needed help in reading. This was the one place that her books can be borrowed or be bought and within a few months a lot of money has been rolling in and the few people that has invested with her has made their profits raised up the charts.

The last few days have been busy for both Sandra and Edwin but on the weekend they decided to stay home to rest and enjoy the break from the world. Media's have been to their doors constantly asking when are the next events and wanted to know what was their secret in success. The only quote that Sandra could say was, "Having the faith and might that you could do better in life and as you put your mind to it you can achieve anything that you can set your goal upon. It took a lot of trust in fate and love that had made me succeed this far." With that being said Sandra had read it in the people magazine and she would always remember when she was a teen she would buy people magazine and thought that the magazine were exploiting things but it was delivering a simple fact.

Sandra written an email to her daughter after two years and this was what she said:

Dear Our beloved Erin,

I am sorry that it took a long time for us to reply but we have been very busy just like you have. I'm sorry that you had to go through such grief in your first year of college but remember darling. You are what you are and no body can tell you that or change it otherwise but you know what you are capable of and you don't need to use any shortcuts for success. I have been busy with my foundation that I just opened up and basically it's like a library of all of my books where customers can borrow books and buy them for a reasonable price. I called it the Foundation of Faith and Fate. There was an abandon building back in my old neighborhood so I talked a couple of people investing it with me and so far has gone pretty well because the profits has raised up the chart. Your father is also starting something as well but he wouldn't tell me because he wanted it to be a surprise. Eric's graduation was a success and he also was a Valedictorian as well and right now he is in York University living with his girlfriend Lucy Leigh Andrews in their apartment within the campus. Many thing changed since you left darling, and I miss you dearly because without you kids around this hall is just silent but how ever I still remember you as babies and I still play those home videos until this very day. I can't wait until your return and I can't until you meet Eric's girlfriend because she's the sweet and kind person, which is also religious just like your Uncle Jet so I am glad that Eric and Lucy has found each other. By the way things are going between Eric and Lucy I think I'm going to be expecting a marriage pretty soon but I hope I get to be at yours first. You and Devante have been engaged for a long while now and you don't necessarily have to waif to tie the knot. I'm just anxious to carry a grandchild and your grand parents are just anxious to be great grand parents so that we keep our generations growing. That is all for now because I still have a lot of house chores to attend to and write some more novels then check up on the Salon. Every one says hi so take care of your self-my darling, until next time.
Love,
Mom

"Sandra what were you just doing on the computer?" Asked Edwin.

"I was just emailing our daughter and working on my novel a bit just a few sentence to another. I know that I can't sit on the computer for hours like I used to anymore because I am no longer 20." Said Sandra.

"Yes you have got to take care of your back and you don't want to stress it out. We are definitely not 20 anymore because look our hair is filled with a few gray hair and we are walking slower than usual." Said Edwin.

"I don't know about you but my walking speed seems find to me because I am healthy and in fit as well. Although you sir have stopped working out for a while. Just because you're 47 now it doesn't mean that you can't stay fit." Said Sandra.

"Are you trying to say that I am lazy?" Asked Edwin.

"No! I didn't say that I'm just saying because you just complained that you were little slower so I was pointing out the facts." Said Sandra.

"I do work out but you just don't see me. I wake up broad and early to jog a few blocks before I go to work and complete my project." Said Edwin.

"Can you at least give me a hint of what you're secretly working on?" Asked Sandra.

"No! My love it is a surprise and if I tell you now then it would just ruin the surprise and seeing the look on your face." Said Edwin.

"You and your surprise. Come on tell me please or should I go out and investigate it myself." Said Sandra.

"Sweetheart! It is all in due time so just be patient and you will soon know what I am working on okay." Said Edwin.

"Why do you have to be so mysterious?" Asked Sandra.

"That's because I am and it's fit in my job descriptions." Said Edwin as he laughed.

"Okay I am not going to talk any further. I have a house to clean and there is no point on asking because I know that you will not tell me and I don't think the puppy dog face would work on me at this age." Said Sandra.

"Well it doesn't mean that you can't have fun trying it. I enjoyed the puppy dog face it's so cute and adorable." Said Edwin.

"Yah! When I was like 16 but anyway you want something to eat before I start cleaning." Said Sandra.

"No I'm okay but listen I got to get back to work but I will see you later on tonight and don't worry I won't be late and maybe we can do the thing that we do so well together." Said Edwin.

"HUNNY! I am shocked. At this age you are stilling thinking about that." Said Sandra.

"Hello! People at this age still have their sex drives working. Plus you are the dirty minded one! I was thinking more along the lines of sitting on the sofa and watching home videos together." Said Edwin as he laughs harder.

"Well if you just stop passing on signals like an oven that is getting ready to cook then maybe I wouldn't have to think of anything like that. Plus the last time that we were really interment was last week or have you already forgotten." Said Sandra.

"How could I forget? My heart is still pounding to the music that's still playing in my mind and that was such a magical night indeed. But sweetie you are stalling. I must get back to work." Said Edwin.

"I'm stalling youre the one who brought it up. Okay! Okay! I'll let you get back to your work I love you." Said Sandra as she kissed him on his lips.

"I love you too and remember home videos tonight so don't you dare fall asleep on me." Said Edwin.

"Actually youre the one that always falls asleep on me." Said Sandra as she laughs.

"Women! You are impossible and when are you going to stop stalling. Your hubby has to get back to work and bring the bacon in." Said Edwin.

"Can't you just be a little bit late?" Asked Sandra as she gave her husband a rub on the shoulder.

"I guess I can be a little late because I am the manager and the one in charge of the whole project so they wouldn't start anything without my commands." Said Edwin.

Edwin carried his wife to the bedroom and a half an hour after a major workout he had put her to sleep and so he tip toed out of the bedroom and got ready to set out of the door to get to work.

Sandra woke up about two hours later to find her husband gone but she was really happy because her husband's performance was even better than before despite the age. Sandra got into the shower then cleaned her room to the livingroom then the kid's room and she could still picture tucking them into bed at nights. Sandra couldn't believe that a lot of years has passed and she had made it this far without giving up and by the time she was finish with her spring cleaning she called her dear old friend Michelle and chatted with her for a few hours. Michelle was still a manager but at a different store and she no longer worked for McDonalds but worked for teens clothing at Eaton. Michelle didn't have a big wedding celebration but she had a small ceremony just with her friend and family. Her husband was none other than her ex-boyfriend Norman, whom she dated in 2000 and right now they also have kids of their own and their first born is name Jason, their second born name Paul and their third born name Katie. They were all in the age of 15 and 17, which Jason is the oldest and Paul and Katie are the twins that are 15. Michelle started her family late but she wanted to make sure that she was ready to build a family based on her income and now they are all in high school almost close to their graduations as well. Michelle didn't know that Sandra had open her own foundation in Regent Park until she went to a local store in the mall and passed by People magazine and in large bolding letters Foundation of Faith and Fate has been released on April 11 2031.

While Sandra was on the phone with Edwin that's when he came home from work and looked really exhausted that she got off the phone with Michelle and went to tend his back then just watched him sleep on the sofa. They didn't watch the home videos of Erin and Eric because both were tired out and just slept on the sofa.

Chapter 36
Edwin introduces the Chain Chan Corporation

On May 20 2031, Edwin had opened a new idea to the business and so he passed out his portfolios to the government of parliament and had presented his long time projects. He wanted to construct a new town in the North York region in the far part of Donmills and Leslie because that place is just all-plain fields and such an open area. Instead of turning this whole entire place to a shopping mall or a parking lot he introduced the Chain Chan Corporation, which means they would have a whole town developed in just a few years and with the sign agreement that would allow Edwin to do so. The parliament has agreed to his project and they knew that Edwin was a hard working man and can make the people of his population impressed. It took Edwin long days and hours but the town was complete and it was semi houses on one block but as soon as you hit to the side of community center there lies all high rise buildings. A few blocks down was town shops and all that a person could ever need and the town was built next to Jacobs Public School and Jacobs High Tech so it would be easy access for students and parents. All price range was all reasonable and Edwin didn't make the tax that high because he knew that as a person he wouldn't want to pay such high taxes and to raise funding for roads and transportation he just made people donate how many amount that they can. All the rest came from the government because they have supported his cause to make a better community and with new immigrations flying in from all different countries the only place that was suitable for them was the Chan Regent. The population this the Chan Regent as increased beyond of the numbers of what was expected and it carried 3,000 people and most were teachers, students, workers and his town was such a success that the town was called after the citizens have voted Edwin Chan as mayor.

The town was officially complete on the scheduled date May 01 2036 and he dedicated this town to his beloved family and mother who has passed away 33 years on this day. Edwin has finally brought his wife to his surprise and she was shocked beyond belief that he had the knowledge and skills pull something this enormous. Erin and Eric would have been proud of their father and calling him a hero. Erin found out that her father was a mayor of Chan Regent that she became speechless because she was in the middle of speaking on tour in the museum when the news came on and she seen her father and her mother side by side speaking to the press. From that moment on Erin felt like a celebrity because her family's name was all over the place and media's have been coming to her that she had no more privacy but it didn't prevent her from living her dreams. Sandra's parents and family overjoyed of the success that they have pulled together that they got so emotional and regret to have their daughter forced to marry a person that she didn't love in the first place.

Even though Edwin and Sandra were now millionaires but they still lived in the same house that they shared and treasured happiness. It was where they built and raised a family so they didn't want to buy a fancy mansion because they weren't celebrity's or royalties they were just two love birds who worked together as a team to get this far. Their house was opened to any neighbors but they only had one request from the media to stay out of their private life and stop exploiting.

"Sandra have you ever dreamed that you would make it this far?" Asked Edwin.

"To tell you the truth I don't think I had it in me because all my life I've been scared of achievement and the fear of not succeeding in life. My faith for you as got me this far and as I said many years ago that it's because of you, because of love that had kept me living on. Youre my ball of energy and my universe so without you I am just incomplete." Said Sandra.

"Spoken like a true poet and my life is incomplete without you." Said Edwin as they both sat on the back porch just staring to the Garden of Eden.

"How long has our kids been gone now?" Asked Sandra.

"Our daughter should have been a graduated student by now but I dont know why she isn't here yet. Maybe because she's busy or decided to live there and create a family of her own there. As for Eric we do see him occasionally but not recently and he also graduated as well which was three years ago but knowing the busy schedule that we lead we didn't get to see them graduate their college years." Said Edwin.

"I miss them so much and maybe your right about Erin wanting to live there because her job is there and her friends are there as well and she's also a friend of the Queen as well." Said Sandra.

While Edwin and Sandra were stilling at the out back porch Erin and Devante just flown in from England with their twin kids Sanita Julian Henderson and Nathan Julian Henderson, which are three years of age. While putting their luggage on the floor Eric had surprise Erin with a jump on the back and gave each other a hug.

"Oh my god! Erin you changed a lot." Said Eric.

"So do you Eric and this must be your lovely girlfriend Lucy," Said Erin.

"Actually my lovely bride and our son Johnathan Chan who is year old." Said Eric.

"Lucy it's nice to meet you and I been hearing a lot of you from my mother. This is my husband Devante and our twin kids Sanita and Nathan." Said Erin.

"Sis I thought you were going to get married after graduation and like at the Garden of Eden and have our parents there." Said Eric.

"I know but then where I got married was in the Queen's palace at the garden where mom's statue was placed so in spirit she was there. The Queen gave me an offer that neither Devante nor me could refuse. So April 14 2032 became our wedding day because both Devante and I had a break from school. But what's your excuse?" Asked Erin.

"Well me and Lucy already had a child together so we just got married in a church with god as our witness and the minister as our guide he made it official." Said Eric.

"So where is mom and dad right now?" Asked Erin.

"My guess they are sitting at the back porch admiring the Garden of Eden." Replied Devante.

"Kids I want you to run out to the back porch and call out grandma and grandpa okay." Said Erin.

"Yes mommy." Replied both Sanita and Nathan.

The kids ran to the back and did what their mother told them to do and they were stoked to see that they already have grand children. Their face even lit up much more when they seen their son and daughter walk in together with their husband and wife but then Sandra took look at Lucy and she was also carrying a baby boy.

"Hi, mom I'm sorry that it took me this long to come and sorry that I had my wedding without you but I had my reasons and it was the Queen. She offered us to have our wedding in her garden that we couldn't refuse her. These are our kids that are three years old and Sanita is the two minutes older than Nathan is. I have brought photos and wedding video for you and dad to see, which I'm sure that grandma and grandpa would love it too." Said Erin.

"Mom and dad I'm sorry as well that we had a wedding without you but me and Lucy already had our son Johnathan and we wanted him to be baptized as soon as possible so that we could cleanse him out of his sins." Said Eric.

"You have nothing to be apologizing for and the point is that you have finished university and college one after another and have a family of your own. Your father and I can now rest in peace because we got to see the face of our grandchild and your grandparents would see the face of their great-grandchild." Said Sandra.

"Mommy you have a grandma too." Said Sanita.

"Yes sweetie! Mommy has a grandma too and she's a very nice person because she's your grandma's mommy. So my grandma is your great-grandma and remember what I taught you to call her." Said Erin.

"Yes we remember. Can we go see your old room mommy?" Asked Nathan.

"Sure it's down the hall and to your right." Said Erin.

"Don't run too fast children because you might fall down." Said Devante.

"So when was the twins and Johnathan born?" Asked Sandra.

"The twins were born on December 15 2033." Said Erin.

"As for Johnathan he was born on September 8 2035." Said Eric.

"You kids have done really well. Devante have you visit your parents yet?" Asked Sandra.

"No mom I haven't yet but I will by the end of the week or something because they might just awake from the a comma knowing that they have grandchildrens." Said Devante.

"Mom you know what we will do. Since you haven't attended each of our weddings Eric and I will set up a double wedding so that Dad will have a chance to walk me down the aisle and Lucy's father will have a chance to walk her down the aisle as well." Said Erin.

"That's going to be a hassle." Said Edwin.

"Not at all dad. Come on you two have done so much for us so let us do at least this for both of you." Said Eric.

"Thank you kids so much but when do you want to set up this wedding?" Asked Sandra.

"What about the beginning of June because I know that is summer vacation and not that many people will be busy working?" Asked Erin.

"June is great because I don't have to work." Said Edwin.

"Then it's settle June 01 2036 we get married again and I am happy to be sharing this special occasion with my younger brother Eric." Said Erin.

"Back to you sis and this time its going to be one huge ultimate celebration again." Said Eric.

Chapter 37
Double Wedding

Erin and Lucy didn't have to shop for another bridal dress because they still had kept theirs from the first time they got married with their husbands. Erin and Lucy bonded because they are now in laws and are happily married but to have to go through it twice was a gift because they would share their vows and renew them in front of the people that loved and cared for them as a child. Erin however wanted her in laws to be there but they still haven't wakened from a comma yet. They've sent a lot of wedding invitations but had a difficult choice in choosing brides maids and maid of honor because Erin had two best friends Rachael and Misty. Instead of choosing between them she made them both brides maid and chose someone else as a maid of honor and she chose Yvette because she had spent a couple weeks in Rome with her and had shared each other's views about things. As for Lucy she took her only sister Lauren to be her maid of honor then took her friend Jacklynn and Carol to be her maid of honor. As for Chad and Rex they were both the best men because Devante had a hard time choosing a role of a best man. As for Eric he took his best friend Jimmy as a best man and chose his cousin's Kenny and Tony to be the other best men.

Both brides stood on the aisle by their father's side just waiting to be given away and when the music started Erin, Lucy and their fathers walked towards the groom and open their veil to kiss their daughter and hand them to their grooms. The minister that was directing the ceremony was Minister James Smith and he's a close friend of Jet at the Jarvis Baptist Church.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we are gathered here today to reunite two beloved siblings and their better-half. As we stand here today and watch this double wedding between two sets of lovebird we bow down and vow. Do you Devante Julian Henderson take this woman Erin Dee Chan to be your lawfully wedded wife to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health from this day forward? Do you Eric Dee Chan take this women Lucy Leigh Andrews to be your lawfully wedded wife to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health from this day forward?" Said Minister Smith.

"I do!" Said Devante and then Eric.

"Do you Erin Dee Chan take his man to be your lawfully wedded husband to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health from this day forward? Do you Lucy Leigh Andrews take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health from this day forward?" Said Minister Smith.

"I do!" Said Erin and then Lucy.

"May I have the ring please children. Okay Devante and Eric take this ring off the bible and place it on your brides finger and repeat after me. With thee ring I thee wed." Said Minister Smith.

"With thee ring I thee wed." Said Devante and Eric as they slipped the ring on their bride's finger.

"Now Erin and Lucy do the same and repeat after me. With thee ring I thee wed." Said Minister Smith.

"With thee ring I thee wed." Said Erin and Lucy as they placed the ring on their groom's finger.

"By the power invest in me I now proudly pronounce you as husbands and wives you may kiss each of your bride." Said Minister Smith.

The entire crowd cried when Devante and Eric kissed their brides. This time the entire family was there to see it. The proudest of them all would be the older generation, which is Sandra's parents because they got to see their grandchildren, get married and at the same time got to hold their great-grandchildren. For this tremendous occasion Sandra had also invited her old friends from College, and High school but the only group of people that weren't invited was the media but somehow they end up getting a few shots that seem to get Sandra very disappointed.

"Mommy can I have a few cakes now?" Asked Nathan.

"Yes you may but only a few okay kiddo because I don't want you to be getting a tummy ache." Said Erin.

"My gosh! Your son reminds me of myself when I was that age because I was so crazy over cakes especially when it was whipped with cream and had chocolate." Said Eric.

"I know that's why in some weird way I will always have you in my life because I see it in my kids. I wonder how Johnathan will turn out and probably would either be like you or me." Said Erin.

"You may be right but that's not until a very long time and right now I just want to cherish them as much as possible before they start growing up like us and moving away from us." Said Eric.

"I feel the same way as you do bro." Said Erin.

"We did it and got married again babes!" Said Devante.

"Yes we did and I am glad that I got to share it with my family the second time round." Said Erin.

"So Erin and Eric where do you plan to have your honeymoon?" Asked Sandra.

"Mom my husband and I decided to not have a second honeymoon because one was already great enough and we went to Hawaii." Said Erin.

"My wife and I decided the same as well because we wanted to spent time with the family and watch our son grow." Said Eric.

"Have I told you how much you two mean to me." Said Edwin.

"You tell us almost everyday but we loved to be reminded." Said Erin as she gave her father a hug.

"Mom is it alright if you take the kids off of our hands so that we can look for a place to stay because I want to get their rooms prepared and surprise them." Said Erin.

"That's not a problem at all and plus this will also give them time to spend their my parents as well." Said Sandra.

"Erin if your still looking for a place to stay. Well I know a place that is still available." Said Edwin.

"That's actually the place I wanted to look into dad but I want to find the right one and close access to the schools." Said Erin.

"There is one reserved for you actually and it was just a matter of time for you to move in and it's by the school and beside it is a nice view of the Imperial Garden." Said Edwin.

"Dad you are the best. I love you!" Said Erin as she jumped up and down. "I will take care of Erin and you would never have to be disappointed dad." Said Devante.

"I know you will son and thank you for taking care of her for all the years that she has been in England." Said Edwin.

"It's my pleasure and an honor to be counted as a member of this family because I couldn't have chose a better one." Said Devante.

"Okay it's getting late so I'm going to take the kids home now and you two can talk among your selves. Congratulations on your second wedding." Said Sandra.

"Thank you mom." Said Erin and Eric.

A week later Erin and Devante took their things out to the car and moved up to the Chan Regent. They loved the house that was reserved for him because Edwin had made it according to Erin's taste. He had a room that was painted in pink and had bears on the wall then had another room that was blue but the walls were plain but the ceiling was filled with space. The master bedroom was created to be in ancient times, the patio out back was big and even had a swimming pool at the back. Erin didn't have to do that much cleaning but she just had to pull in all the furniture together and within less than a day they were finished. That same week Erin found a job as a teacher teaching at Jacobs High Tech as teacher for Ancient Civilization. Devante opened his own Oriental shop and a lot of Asians were familiar with his medicine because for some he has treated their parents and their grandparents.

"This house is perfect!" Shouted out Erin.

"It's more than perfect babes. It's superb!" Said Devante.

"When do we get the kids to move in with us?" Asked Erin.

"We don't have to be in a hurry because they are in great hands and let them spend time with your grandparents and their grandparents." Said Devante.

"Then what do you suppose we do then?' Asked Erin.

"Well we can enjoy the silence or we could start working full time but then of course we would need a babysitter to look after our kids." Said Devante.

"But why don't you take the kids while you are working because they are such obedient kids and they would never run loose around the office. Then I can take them after 4pm and so that way we are saving money to be hiring a babysitter." Said Erin.

"I like the way your mind works and that's why I married you twice." Said Devante.

"You married me for my mind! I thought you married me because of my money." Said Erin as she laughs.

"Your money! Now let's not get insane here. Don't you mean your parents money? Asked Devante as he held his wife.

"Their money is more or less my money as well. They did open a savings account for me and I have also worked to earn it and doubled it as well." Said Erin.

"Okay! I'm too restless just to debate with you. Let's go inside and create another life." Said Devante.

"Are you sure you want another baby right now because we just had twins 3 three years ago and remember what kind of handful they were?" Asked Erin.

"I know but I just wanted to share the experience with you and watch them grow as your parents has watched us grow." Said Devante.

"Okay you proven your point. What are you waiting for? The night to be over!" Said Erin.

"Now you're talking baby!" Said Devante as he caressed his wife.

Two weeks has passed since Devante and Erin moved into there new home that their kids were wondering if they would ever come pick them up. Sandra told her grandchildren not to worry because their mother wanted to make sure everything was set before moving them in.

"Grandma what is taking mom and dad so long?" Asked Sanita.

"They got to fix the house and move in furniture and find a job but I'm sure they will return by the end of the day kids." Said Sandra.

"I miss them so much." Said Nathan.

"I know you do and believe me when I say that being a child is not easy and I sure missed mine as well when I had to go away for several years." Said Sandra.

"Great-grandpa I heard grandma saying that you used to be a carpenter." Said Nathan.

"That's right child I was really great at it too but the old age got to me that I haven't been able to build things in a long time. But you grandma and grandpa knows how to build things too." Said Sandra's father.

"Wow! I want to build things too." Said Nathan.

"One day you will kiddo." Said Devante.

"Daddy! Mommy! We miss you so much." Said Sanita and Nathan.

"We missed you too. Did you behave and listen to your grandparents and great-grandparents directions?" Asked Erin.

"Yes we did and we didn't give them any hard to time." Said Sanita.

"That's good to hear but it looks like you two won't move in the new house until later tonight because mommy and daddy are tired." Said Erin.

"How's the house going along?" Asked Edwin.

"It's great dad and you really chose a great design because my husband and I loved it. I'm sure the kids would love their room as well." Said Erin.

"You kids must be tired so I'm going to fix a little something up okay." Said Sandra.

"Mom you don't need to do that. I'll do that and you could just rest up with grandma and grandpa okay." Said Erin.

"Okay if you insist." Said Sandra.

"I insist plus you have done for much for me over the years and now why don't you give me an opportunity to show the same things to my kids." Said Erin.

"That's great dear!" Said Sandra's mother.

"Thank you grandma." Said Erin as she gave her a hug.

Erin left her parent's place and drove her grandparents' home to Vaughan then took the kids into their new home in Chan Regent. Sanita ran to the only room that was pink and she loved it so much that she jumped on her bed and yelled out HURRAY! As for Nathan he did the same thing as well and he really did love the outer space but the thing that Erin didn't understand is how did her father know so much about his grandchildren when they only have meant three weeks ago.

"Kids I want you two to brush your teeth then get to bed and your father and I will tuck you in." Said Erin.

"Do we have to go to bed already?" Asked Sanita.

"Yes sweetie you have to because it's already pass your bed time." Said Devante.

Sanita and Nathan finished washing their teeth then went to running to their bedroom and jumped onto the bed as they wait for there parents to tuck them in. Erin read the Cinderella story to her daughter just as her mother had read to her that she wanted her daughter to keep the tradition going on. Devante read Nathan a bed time story as well and this one was Harry Potter because he knew that his son loved that movie since the first time he seen it on video.

The next day was extremely hot that Erin took her kids to the pool to teach them how to swim but she always had safety first so she made her kids wear a life jacket while they were being taught by Erin and Devante was shooting the video tape. It took Sanita and Nathan a lot longer than Erin has anticipated because with her it just came natural but her kids had to go through long hours of progress into order to float and kick their little feet. After a whole day of non stop lessons their kids was able to do it on their own without the life jacket and was able to swim but Erin didn't trust them swimming underwater because she hadn't taught them to breathe under water yet.

"Mommy! Mommy! Look I'm doing it on my own." Said the twins.

"I know kids I see it and keep going because daddy is recording for your grandma and my grandparents to see okay." Said Erin.

"Okay!" Said the twins.

"Sanita and Nathan I want you to wave to the camera and say hi to everyone." Said Devante.

The twins waved in front of the camera but then had to get out of the swimming pool because they had to use the washroom and they remembered what their mother had taught them. Do not use the swimming pool as a washroom and so they walked really fast to the washroom then we they were done they walked back and jumped into the pool.

"Mommy look the people next door has a swimming." Said a little boy.

"I know because mommy and daddy can see it from here." Said the Valenzuelas.

Erin and Devante overheard the kid next door talking to his mother so she went over to invite them into their home so that their son can swim in the pool as well.

"Hi you must be the new folks that just moved in. I'm Erin Henderson and this is my husband Devante Henderson and those are our kids Sanita and Nathan. Welcome to Chan Regent." Said Erin.

"Thank you Mrs. Henderson and plus the pleasure is all mine because you are the daughter of our mayor. I'm Judy Valenzuela and this is my husband Andre Valenzuela and our son Joseph Valenzuela." Said Judy.

"Your last name sounds familiar but I can't remember from where. Oh wait yes that's right my mother's old boyfriend that she dated years ago has the same last name as yours." Said Erin.

"The same last name well these days are pretty common but only few are related. My father in law's name is Emmanuel Valenzuela." Said Judy.

"That's right it is the same person that I am speaking of. Who would of thought my next door neighbor is related to my mother's old boyfriend." Said Erin.

"It must be fate other wise you unions would not meet in a place that your father has developed." Said Judy.

"Babes take our neighbors in for refreshment and I'll just look after the kids." Said Devante.

"Okay!" Replied Erin.

"There is no need." Said Andre.

"Please there is no harm and my husband is really great with kids so you don't need to worry. Plus it will be my pleasure to serve the new comers of this town." Said Erin.

"All right! I guess it wouldn't hurt to have something to drink. This weather that we are having lately are very humid." Said Judy.

"Yes it is and I thanked my father for building this outdoor swimming pool." Said Erin.

Erin took her guest inside the livingroom and gave each of them a glass of ice lemonade that she had made her self. Andre was looking at the photos and seen a picture of the Queen of England taking a photo with Erin and Devante. He seen a picture of Sandra and thought to himself what a beautiful catch but it's too bad that his father let her go.

"So Andre what is your father doing lately?" Asked Erin.

"My father is actually a lawyer and he works in the court down at City hall." Said Andre.

"That's great to hear and my mother knew that he would be a great lawyer some day and I guess the spirit of his former girlfriend before my mother has kept that alive for him." Said Erin.

"I never knew that my father had past girlfriends but he did mention your mother a lot of times and as for my mother I never got to know her because she left me as I was 2 years old." Said Andre.

"That's a terrible thing. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through a childhood without a mother but then again your father and grandparents raised you well." Said Erin.

"Thank you Erin coming from you it means a lot because it feels like your mother is saying the same thing if she were here." Said Andre.

"I see the pictures on the wall are taken in Rome and England so when did you go there?" Asked Judy.

"I went to Rome during high school year in my 10th grade then I went to Oxford, England for my college years and I had my first wedding at England at the Garden of the Queen. My second wedding was at the Garden of Eden that my mother has called since she laid eyes on it and the reason why we settled on another wedding was because my brother and I didn't have our parents in our wedding so we made it a double wedding." Said Erin.

"Yes I did read about that in the people magazines." Said Andre.

"I really love your mother's book and most of my family members they love it as well and one of them actually works in your mother's foundation." Said Judy.

"That's great to hear Judy." Said Erin.

"Mommy I'm all wrinkled up!" Said the twins.

"Okay why you two go inside and change into dry clothes then you can drink ice lemonade." Said Erin.

"Can we have chocolate chip cookies too?" Asked Sanita.

"Just go inside and change then mommy will think about it okay." Said Erin.

"Okay!" Said Sanita as she ran inside to change into dry clothes.

"Joseph you go inside with Nathan and get changed as well okay." Said Andre.

"Okay daddy." Replied Joseph.

"You have an interesting family tree Erin." Said Judy.

"Thank you and I'm proud to be brought into these generations because they are the greatest people that I've ever grown to know." Said Erin.

"Mommy where is daddy's parents?" Asked Nathan.

"You daddy's parents are right now in the hospital but they been asleep for a very long time that they haven't woke up yet. But at the end of this week mommy is going to bring you kids of where I was born then we can see you other grandparents okay." Said Erin.

"Okay but is the bus ride far away like our house is to grandma's house." Said Sanita.

"It's more further because your grandparents from your daddy's side is in Boston so that's in the State of New York City which is in United States of America." Said Erin.

"I don't know how far it is but it sounds really far mommy." Said Nathan.

"Your kids are so adorable. How old are they?" Asked Judy.

"They are both three years of age." Said Erin.

"Wow! They are talking fluently and for Joseph he's just four years old but it took him a while to speak fluent English." Said Judy.

"Well my kids are fast learner when it comes to languages but swimming lessons it took longer than I expected because it took me a whole day to finish their lessons." Said Erin.

"You can't rush them into doing anything because they are kids and you must give them time to learn then the next time that you teach again they won't make any mistakes." Said Andre.

"Nicely put Andre." Said Devante.

"Anyway it's getting late and we must leave because we have work to do tomorrow but it was an honor meeting you both." Said Judy. "Say bye Mrs. Henderson and everyone else Joseph and thank her for letting you use her swimming pool." Said Andre.

"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Henderson and thank you for letting me swim in your pool." Said Joseph.

Chapter 38
A visit to Boston Bay

It was now July and Erin had packed her kids things then stacked them in the trunk while she put her kids in seat belts. Erin and Devante took turns driving to Boston because it was more than an 8-hour drive from the route that she was taking. Erin didn't remember much of Boston because she left as a child however Devante remembered everything up until the age of 9 and then everything went sour from there. They drove over Devante's grandparent's place and set their things there while they introduced their kids to their great-grandparents and they were both proud of Devante and Erin. An hour later they settled towards Boston General to visit Lana and David but they were no longer in intensive care because they have wakened up from a comma. Devante introduced Sanita and Nathan to his grandparents then that was when Lana and David had the strength to get out of bed to give their grandchildren a hug.

"Mom! Dad! It's nice seeing you again and I am really sorry for all those years." Cried Devante.

"We have never hold such things against you and we are just blessed because nothing happen to you." Said Lana.

"Are you are they?" Asked David.

"They are three years old but Sanita is two minutes older than Nathan." Said Erin.

"They are the cutest kids ever and they remind me of the both of you." Said Lana.

"I'm just sorry that you had to miss our wedding twice." Said Erin.

"But we did bring you a video tape to watch." Said Devante.

"Our first wedding was on April 14 2032 in the Queen's palace and passing that days are the birth of Sanita and Nathan on December 15 2033. On June 01 of this year we got married again because my parent didn't get a chance to attend the first wedding and we had a double wedding at the Garden of Eden. Eric married his wife Lucy and had a son Johnathan on September 08 2035. It was a beautiful wedding indeed and I would do it a third time for you anytime Mom." Said Erin.

"That's a great gesture but its too much money. How is your mother and father doing right now?" Asked Lana.

"They are doing fine. My mother is still the greatest novelist and she opens a child's book foundation in her own community. My father is a mayor of the town that I live in the Chan Regent. My entire family are doing great Mom and I wish that you can live in Toronto by my mother as well." Said Erin.

"Our home is here and no where else sweetie. I'm glad that you two are married and these children are so great that now your father and I can rest in peace." Said Lana.

"Don't say that mom because you and dad still have a lot of years ahead because look at Erin's grandparents they are still breathing to see their great-grandchildren and I want you to see yours as well." Said Devante.

"You can't choose when to leave the world because only god chooses that and he has many good reasons to do so and you should never question the lord's plan." Said David.

"I know dad but I just don't want you to give up on life so soon because Erin's grandparents are hanging on and so is my parents in law." Said Devante.

"How long are you two in town for?" Asked Lana.

"Not that long because I got to get back to work and I just wanted to make sure that you two are out of the deep ends." Said Devante.

"We are being released today but just have to get words from the doctor again. Devante I want you to take me to your grandparents because I really do miss them." Said Lana.

"I will do that and I know that they miss you as well." Said Devante.

Lana and David were released out of the hospital and carried both of their grandchildren on their lap as Erin drove the car back to Devante grandparent's place. Devante stayed longer than he expected because he wanted his kids to spend as much time with his family as possible because he knew that one day they will leave the world and his kids would question why and Devante wouldn't know how to explain the world of life.

The twins ran all around the house being chased by maids and Erin would seat out at the backyard having tea her parent's in law and their parents. Devante would video tape close by of his kids so that one day when they grow up they would at least have a memory of being in their great-grandparents home and also meant them face to face. One day they will be able to show it to their kids and it would be passed down from further generations. The same afternoon Lana's father put on a barbecue so that the kids would enjoy a Boston tradition grilled steak and chickens which the kids loved indeed that they asked for seconds but Erin didn't want them eating too much meat.

"How are your grandparents Erin?" Asked Mrs. Smith.

"My grandparents are doing fine and they are holding on quite from for their age." Said Erin.

"That's good to know Erin so where are you living right now?" Asked Mr. Smith.

"I'm actually living in the community that my father has built. It's called the Chan Regent and he's the mayor of that town." Said Erin.

"That's lovely Erin and your mother is doing well." Said Mr. Smith.

"She's fine and her business is still rising that she still continues to write and get her reader's interested." Said Erin.

"Thank you mother for me because if it wasn't for her then my daughter wouldn't have got the guts to tell me that my actions were wrong. Although my wife and I are not married but we are much happier now because there are no more argument nor cheating." Said Mr. Smith.

"That's really great to hear Grandpa." Said Devante.

"We did it for you and our selves Devante." Said Mr. Smith.

"Dad thank you so much. I can't believe that it took an accident for you to realize your unfaithfulness but I will drop it now because I don't want my grandchildrens to hear about your past." Said Lana.

"Neither do I Lana! Neither do I." Said Mr. Smith.

For this momentous occasion Devante decided to get everyone into a group so that they can have a few photos to cherish and took a photo of just the main family then the kids with their grandparents and their great-grandparents. They stayed there about a two weeks and it has been wonderful but Devante had to get back to his office and Erin just had to get back to her family because she's worried about her grandparents old age and missing her parents dearly.

On the way to the highway Erin decided to drive around her mother's college and pointed out to her kids that it was where their grandmother had lived for 3 years. Then drove around the block where Devante's house to be to but nothing was there except ashes because no body has got around to fixing it up. It got Devante upset because that was the very place that he called home until all came crashing down all because he lit a match. That moment on he taught his kids lessons about playing with matches and it didn't take them long to understand because they were looking at the very spot that their father had lived in has a baby.

"Daddy it's okay you no longer have to feel upset because no body got hurt." Said Sanita.

"Oh thank you sweetie. You are right no body got hurt and thank you for cheering daddy up okay." Said Devante.

"I love you daddy." Said Sanita.

"I love you too sweetie. Now seat back like your brother and just go to sleep because it's going to be another long ride home." Said Devante.

"Good night mommy and daddy." Said Sanita.

"Good night sweet heart." Said Erin as she still drove.

They arrived back in Toronto and Devante carried his son to bed while Erin parked the car then took Sanita to bed. Erin turned off every light then went to bed as well but Devante followed a minute later because he wanted to give his thanks and pray to the lord.
