Bismillahir
Rahmaan ir-Raheem. I begin with "In
the name of ALLAH" so as to include ALLAH in this communiqué between us,
and with the hope of evoking and securing ALLAH's Mercy and Guidance, since he
whom ALLAH guides can never be mislead, and he whom ALLAH misleads has no
guide. It is my hope that we should end with ALLAH.
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most
Merciful. All praise is for Allah, the Lord
of the Universe. May Allah bestow peace and blessings upon our Leader Muhammad,
Leader of those who strive in Allah's way and Imam of the pious. May Allah also
bestow peace and blessings upon his family and his companions, and all those
who strive for the Sharee’ah until the Day of Judgement.

The
Conspiracy
Upon deliberating on the atrocities against Muslims, I have discovered that there is a great conspiracy against Muslims. Not only those in Algeria, Somalia, Bosnia, Kashmir, India, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Kosovo, etcetera, but Muslims throughout the world. A Muslim that lives in a Muslim country, like Afghanistan, is as problematic to the West as is a Muslim living in France, for example. It seems that Muslims who do not submit to the Kuffar are as troublesome as teenage delinquents are, irrespective of their location. Does anybody happen to know why? It seems that only Muslims are at fault no matter where they are located or originate from. And as for those in conflict against Muslims, well, they are at no fault at all. Should Muslims not change their 'problematic' religion, for it is blatant that they have chosen the wrong religion? Had they been idol-worshippers, Atheists, or even Satan Worshippers, would they have been discriminated against? On the contrary, they would have been greatly supported and encouraged. The Muslim of today is an extremely controversial subject. Yet, why do Muslims stay steadfast in their religion, amidst all the controversy and discrimination?
Every time a Muslim is
attacked and killed, the stronger the rest of the Muslim ummah becomes. I've
experienced this phenomenon and would like to share my feelings and
experiences. During the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, frequently referred by
the media as the "Afghan-Russian Conflict", I felt pity for my fellow
Muslims in Afghanistan. I was a spectator and prayed for the victory of the
Afghans. Still I didn't feel strongly enough
to join them in their struggle. What it actually made me realise though, was that
being Muslim, we are all vulnerable to the Kuffar and this prompted me to
prepare for the time when we were going to be accosted by the Kuffar. By the
way, the term Kuffar refers to all enemies of Islam, both the so-called Muslims
like the Qadiyani, as well as the non-Muslim enemies. My preparation entailed
physical development and the development of combat techniques as well as
survival tactics. I was distracted by studies here in South Africa, and did not
focus fully on the Muslims' sufferings. The story of Afghanistan soon became a
part of life for me, and I went about my biz. The only thing I did was boast
about the brave Afghan Muslims and how they challenged Russia. They made me
feel proud of being Muslim. I expressed my concern and discussed the situation
with fellow Muslims that shared my concern. This diverted my frustrations to
the opposite direction of where I should be channeling my energies. I was
supposed to have done something valuable, like really contributing to the
Russia’s defeat. This was my coward way of identifying with the Afghan war. I
celebrated the Afghans’ eventual victory.
Years went by and this desire to be involved with the protection of
Islam and it’s Ummah died in its infancy. I soon forgot about Afghanistan. In
fact I forgot about the perils facing the Ummah until much later when I
attended a session regarding the Bosnian Crisis, and after watching the video,
I felt great affinity with the oppression being experienced by my fellow
Muslims. This desire to protect Islam was born again. I reflected on
Afghanistan and my emotions ran high. I felt a great sorrow for the loss of
life and felt more vulnerable as a Muslim. I increased my preparation for Jihad
in my country. Being offered the opportunity to join in the struggle, I declined
being the sole-supporter of my family. Or maybe that was my excuse, for Allah
is the Ultimate Sustainer. Okay, I admit that I thought that it wasn’t
necessary for me to do anything, as it wasn’t really my fight. Besides, Bosnia
is far away from South Africa. Oh and I’m busy developing my career. Oh, how
weak I really was. I was more worried about life in this world and wasn’t at
all concerned about the inevitable yet even more blissful hereafter.
The conspiracy against Islam is once again evident in the story of Somalia. It is impossible for a country experiencing famine and people that couldn’t afford a bowl of maize or rice, to be able to afford great quantities of arms and ammunition. This was logically absurd and there had to be another dimension involved. Then I was educated on the Algerian struggle, which together with the previous struggles mentioned above, awoke my sleeping emotions and anger. I became extremely emotional, and researched the entire Algerian situation. I learned, that contradictory to news reports, the Muslim wasn't the terrorist but France and its military group in Algeria were the real terrorists. This made me see the truth, and looking down in history I realised that the Muslim struggle would never ever end. I reflected on how Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the Sahabah Kiram (RA) bled for Islam. I was also exposed to various Islamic scholars and was greatly intrigued by the likes of Sheikh Abdul Hamid Kishik, our own Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, Sheikh Sayyid Qutb and Sheikh Hasan Al-Banna (may Allah SWT be pleased with all Allah’s righteous servants). Sheikh Sayyed Hasan al Banna founded the most effective Islamic Movement called the Ikhwanul Muslimun. The original Ikhwanul Muslimun is best described as “Kuffar-medicine” and at one stage was successful in “enjoining right conduct and forbidding evil”, uniting and uplifting the ummah and at the same time, destroying the influence of kufr. The basis of their foundation may be read in “Letter to a Muslim Student” written by Hasan Al-Banna. In this letter is sincere advice for the Muslim. I also read and reflected on various articles on Jihad, and more recently those by Mufti Khubaib Sahib. These articles educated me on what the Mujahidien are all about and gave me the necessary knowledge in order to identify with the Mujahidien. My emotions were stirred yet again when America bombed Afghan and Sudanese targets. I only heard about it, didn't see any pictures, yet I felt their pain and identified with them. After all the Afghans had been through, did they deserve this? How is it that I could be touched in my heart for the suffering of the people I had never seen and who live thousands of kilometres away? Why do I feel part of them and why do I identify with their suffering? These were the questions that raced to mind, and I found only one answer. Islam is unity. I realised then that I was bonded to all Muslims by the most hallowed of bonds, the bond of credal doctrine, which to me is the greatest bond. There is no Islam without unity, and the best place to start is at home with our immediate kin and neighbours. How can there be universal unity and peace if these entities can’t be found in our own homes? No unity equals no Islam!
Allah (SWT) says in Qur’an Majeed:
The Believers are but
A single Brotherhood:
So make peace and
Reconciliation between Your
Two (Contending) brothers;
And fear God, that ye
May receive Mercy.
(Al-Qur’an 49:10)
and
"And
those who disbelieve, they are protecting friends one to another,
Unless you (O Muslims) protect one another
there will be persecution and great
corruption in
the land."(Al-Quran 8:73)
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said the following regarding unity: -
-He is not a Muslim who doesn’t wish upon
his brother what he wishes upon himself
-He is not a Muslim whose neighbour isn’t
safe from his harm
-You who fear the hellfire, honour your
guest, honour your neighbour
In their attempt to divide and rule, the Kuffar also started many different sections in Islam. I advise all to read ‘Confessions of a British Spy’ and ‘British Enmity toward Islam’ in order to understand why Islam is a threat to evil and how evil manipulates Islam for evil’s success.
“Today there are various missions and
principles and ideologies and schools of thought and opinions and
objectives - all of which sow division in the minds of men and war
within their hearts. Each one of them is
shown in the best possible light by its adherents: each one has its
propaganda spread about by its
creatures, its virtues and excellence for it, and make such exaggerated
pretensions as will render it
attractive, captivating, and striking to people.” -Sheikh
Sayid Hasan Al-Banna Shaheed
Fortunately, unlike the Christianity of today or any other religion, we were provided with one set of beliefs, the five pillars, namely, Imaan, Salaat, Saum(fasting), Zakaat and Haj.
“And be ye not as those who separated and
disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them. For
such there is an awful doom "(Al-Qur’an
3:105)
Here Allah (SWT) warns mankind not to follow in the footsteps of the disputing Christians and Jews, but instead calls for unity. Here are two of the many benefits of the five pillars. Firstly, they are concise and clear, with no fuzzy areas. This makes it impossible for the Kuffar to infiltrate and change, and if any single entity changes then it is no longer Islamic. The other benefit is that it must be used to unite Muslims by commonality. A Muslim has to adhere to the five pillars in totality in order to be a Muslim. So this is the common base or foundation of the Muslim. Many Muslims from the various sections quibble over nafl (supererogatory) acts of worship and prefer to distinguish the various sections by these acts of worship. On the contrary, let us make use of the five pillars to unite us for this is the foundation of Islam and the commonality of Muslims. In short, Muslims should unite on the basis of their roots instead of dividing themselves on the basis of their branches or flowers, and once these obligations are fulfilled in their thorough entirety, then and then only, should other matters be pursued. At the same time, concentrating on the hype piled upon the other trivial matters diverts our attention from these five pillars, for which there will be a grave penalty.
Anyway, coming back to my feelings about the bomb raid, I felt the spilt blood of all the Mujahidien in all countries rush through my veins. I felt the loss of my brothers and sisters whom I never met. Feeling brave and strong as I have never before, I stood up and read the takbier out loud. It was time for me to contribute towards the survival of Islam and the Muslim Ummah for Allah commands in the Qur’an:
"Fight in the cause of Allah against
those who fight against you, but do not transgress limits. Lo! Allah loves not
aggressors. ...And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for
Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against
transgressors." (Al-Qur’an 2:190,
193)
“We, on the other hand, believe that the
Muslim is duty-bound to give of his person, his blood, and his
wealth to carry out his trust, namely, to guide mankind by the light of
Islam and to lift its banner on high
above the regions of the earth, without desiring thereby wealth, rank,
or power over anyone, nor the
enslavement of any people. He desires only Allah's face and the felicity
of the world through His religion
and the exaltation of His word. This is what spurred on the pious early
Muslims (Allah’s grace be upon
them!) to those saintly victories which astounded the world and went
beyond anything history had known
in
their swiftness, justice, nobility, and virtue.”
- Sheikh
Sayid Hasan Al-Banna Sheheed
"And why should you not fight in the
cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)? -
Men, women, and children, whose cry is: 'Our Lord! Rescue us from this town,
whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You, one who will protect;
and raise for us from You, one who will help. " (Al-Qur’an 4:75)
‘O Prophet! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty
steadfast amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a
hundred steadfast they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve,
because they (they disbelievers) are people who do not understand’
(Surat-al-Anfaal (8),
ayah 65)
The last quotation has stood the test of
time and once again God’s words have been put to the test. This was quite
evident in the Battle of Badr, when…. Secondly, if we compare what was achieved
by the first three generations, viz. The Sahaba, the Tabi’een and the
Tabit-tabi’een, as to what the rest of the generations after them until now
have accomplished, once again, this verse shows the power of belief. This
comparison also shows the belief that the first three generations since
Muhammad (SAW) …( still busy with this
paragraph….)
The decision was made there and then to be a soldier of Islam for the sake of Allah. The years of mental, emotional, psychological and physical preparation had finally matured. My physical conditioning and strength has reached its peak. All I lack is military training, but won't let that discourage me. All my skills will be put to use diligently, Insha-Allah. Spectating is no longer for me; it is time to get actively involved. I truly regret that it had to take so much of bloodshed for me to see the truth about Islam's struggle? Was I that ignorant? My mind was so crippled by the media that at one stage I sided with the Kuffar, believing that Islamic Fundamentalists were ruining the pure peaceful reputation of Islam. But in whose eyes was Islam’s reputation being ruined? Only in the insignificant eyes of the ignorant Kuffar. I thought about what the Kuffar would perceive Muslims as being, and didn’t want them to dislike Muslims and Islam. At the same time this distracted me from seeing Islam as to how Allah wants to see it. Then I looked at myself, and was startled to find out that I too was a fundamentalist, yet the influence of shaytan through the Kuffar made me shut off this important character trait. In fact, the way the world looks at fundamentalism makes us feel ashamed of being fundamentalists. This in turn makes us ashamed of being Muslim, as fundamentalism is part of Islam. Take a look at “extremism”. If five daily prayers is the extreme, then how many daily prayers wouldn’t be too extreme? So too, how many of Allah’s laws and our obligations should we ignore for Islam not to be extreme? That’s exactly what the Kuffar wants us to do. Hazrat Umar (RA) would be declared an extremist for whipping his son to death as punishment for committing a crime. We all want to play God by changing our environment to suit our pleasure. Nature is often destroyed. Even humans have been killed to suit the comfort of this world. The Kuffar has a history of creating a comfortable world at the sacrifice of nature and humanity. They are guilty of black slave trade for their comfort as well as amending their Holy Divine Scriptures to suit their whims and fancies. I’m sure if they practice their scriptures in its original totality, as was intended to be, then they too would be ‘extremists’. Now they want Islam to follow suit in amending the Shariah. In summary, every Muslim is an Extremist and a Fundamentalist. You are either a Muslim or not. One cannot practice part of the religion and shun the other. Islam has got to be accepted in its totality, fundamentalism and all. Now that the actions of the Kuffar have enlightened me, I regret not participating in the past struggles. I hope it isn’t too late for me to make a difference. So I intend making up double-time in present and future struggles, Insha-Allah. I will enter the battlefield with the greatest passion. I won't wait for the Kuffar to come to me, instead I will go to where I'm needed the most, for brotherhood and unity knows no limits and boundaries. I must thank the Kuffar and the Clintons of this world for their attitude towards Muslims and Islam, as I have derived great benefit from their killing of Muslims. The benefits of making me evaluate my faith and my commitment to Islam. The benefits of me willing to sacrifice my life for the sake of Islam. The benefits of waking me from my deep sleep and face the reality. All these benefits at the cost of millions of Mujahidien, therefore we all must reap the advantages from this destruction. Muslims that died for the sake of Allah didn’t do so in vain. If anything at all, their deaths have given me life and given life to this very document.
‘Against them make ready your
strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror
into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies.’ (Surat-al-Anfaal
(8), ayah 60)
The road ahead is a very meandering and treacherous one and drastic changes must be made quickly. Previously postponed obligations will have to be completed urgently. The first is to strive toward the state of “Fi-Sabil-Allah”, as everything must be done for the sake of Allah. The propagation of the unification of the different Muslim sections is to be carried out. Humility must be practiced before the Almighty. Preparatory and training courses have to be attended. These courses must be military in nature as well as well as Islamic courses such as Hadith, Islamic and World History, Islamic Shariat, Hifz, Geography, Islamic Theology, etcetera. The mujahideen will be charged with the task of making decisions pertaining to life and death. Such a person has to be well versed with Shariah, Hadith and Fiqh and only a rightly guided and educated person would be able to make a correct decision whilst one that is uneducated and ignorant must not be allowed to make such decisions. The Mujahideen when confronted with such a situation has to make a fatwa(religious edict) by drawing inference from Qura’n and Hadith, apply it to the situation at hand, and timeously make a decision. The soldier of Islam must be able to buffer emotions through reasoning capabilities, instead of reacting according to the whims of desire and emotion. (I discuss this issue in great length in my book titled “The Self”, which deals with self-satisfaction and inner peace, a much-needed commodity). How many worriers would be able to spare the enemy whom just before being killed, spits at the worrier? Hazrath Ali (RA) was about to slay his adversary when his adversary spat at the Hazrath Ali (RA). Much to everyone’s amazement, Ali (RA) withdrew his sword. When he was questioned about his change of heart he replied that prior to being spat upon, he was going to kill his enemy for the sake of Allah. After being spat upon, he doubted his motive for killing for there was the slightest chance that his enemy’s action could have effected him personally, and made him angry towards his enemy, thus killing the enemy partially for Allah and partially for himself. Due to this doubt, he decided not to take his enemy’s life. Such was the reasoning and mercy of the righteously guided Sahaba Kiraam (RA). When the enemy chooses peace over war, how many mujahideen on the battlefield would know how to react to this sudden change: -
“If they withdraw from you and fight you
not, but (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then God
alloweth no way for you (to war against them)" (Holy Qur'an 4:90)
“If the enemy incline towards peace, do
thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God"
(Holy Qur'an 8:61)
The neglected hadith “At-tahuru-shatrul-imaan” or “Purity is half of Imaan (faith)” should be practiced and propagated at all times. Why has Allah ordained it for us to remove our shoes when going to the Mosques? Was it because we were to pray barefoot or was it for us not to let the filth that could be on our shoes come onto holy ground? How many Muslims take off their shoes and stand on the same ground that the shoes are on, then walk into the Musjid with the same impurities. Then the feet are washed and immediately the floor that has the impurities that wear just brought into the Musjid, are trodden upon, thus defeating the purpose of washing the feet, nullifying the Wudhu. Does this not defeat the purpose of taking off the shoes? This would be the same as walking right to the mimbar with our shoes on. If one is guilty of this, then one must imagine the entire musjid filled with Musallihs reading salaat with their dirty shoes on. We sit anywhere and put dirty shoes on bedding and chairs, thus contaminating them with all types of impurities that could have been on the shoes, then sit or lay on them and go to the Musjid with the same clothes. The musjid is then contaminated and subsequently contaminates whoever is exposed to this impurity. We have been commanded to take our shoes of before entering holy ground not without any reason. We take off shoes so as not to let impurities(napaak) contaminate the pure(paak). Another great concern is trousers that are worn in such a way that it drags on the floor including toilet floors, acting as brooms and mops that collect impurities from all over and taking it all over. This negligence of purity even nullifies the istinja. (Tahaarat is discussed at length in my other article entitled, Tahaarat(Purity) ).
A foundation to work from for the establishment of Allah’s Supremacy on earth has to be created. All Muslim countries have a good base to work from, for if anything at all, through democracy, although Islam is not a democracy, these countries can implement strict Islamic Shariah. They enjoy the infrastructure of a majority Muslim population. However, the Islamic population doesn’t seem interested in this. Okay, not the entire Islamic population. The Taliban government in Afghanistan has taken the painstaking initiative that’s conducive to the establishment of Allah’s Supremacy, and this would be a place to start. From here, Allah’s Supremacy has the most chance of radiating first to the neighbouring Muslim countries, and then throughout the world, Insha-Allah.
“Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the
Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in
Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with
their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (Holy
Qur'an 2:62)
“They are
not all alike. Of the People of the Scripture(Jews and Christians) there is a
staunch community who recite the revelations of Allah in the night season,
falling prostrate (before Him).
They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin right
conduct and forbid indecency, and vie one
with another in good works. These are of the righteous.
And whatever good they do, they will not be denied the meed
thereof. Allah is Aware of those who
ward off (evil).” (Al-Qur’an 3:113-115)
Islam also teaches mankind the following lesson, if adhered to, would catapult mankind to eternal bliss:
Mankind is sprung from Adam,
therefore they are brothers and
it is their duty to cooperate with
one another,
to keep the peace among themselves,
to deal mercifully with one
another,
to guide one another toward the
good
and to vie with one another in performing good works.
It is their duty to strive, each within
his (own) sphere,
so that mankind may advance.
In 628 CE Prophet Muhammad (saw) granted a Charter of Privileges to the monks of St. Catherine Monastery in Mt. Sinai. It consisted of several clauses covering all aspects of human rights including such topics as the protection of Christians, freedom of worship and movement, freedom to appoint their own judges and to own and maintain their property, exemption from military service, and the right to protection in war. This is indicative of the tolerance that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) exercised upon the Christians at a time when he could exercise power upon them and make them Muslims. Instead, he justly chose to implement no compulsion on them. Then why is it that there is such a great lack of respect between the Christians and Muslims today?
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat answers this question in his book titled “Christ in Islam” which I urge all to read:
We cannot blame the Christians for their
scepticism. They have been so
programmed for centuries. They were trained
to think the worst of the man
Muhummed (pbuh) and his religion. How aptly
did Thomas Carlyle say about
his Christian brethren over a hundred and
fifty years ago –
"THE LIES WHICH
WELLMEANING ZEAL HAS HEAPED AROUND THIS MAN (Muhummed) ARE DISGRACEFUL TO
OURSELVES ONLY."
We Muslims are partly responsible for this
staggering ignorance of the 1,200,000,000 Christians of the world. We have not
done anything substantial to remove the cobwebs. (‘Christ in Islam’ by A.
Deedat)
The Christians are ignorant of the fact that the holy Quran teaches mankind:-
(a) That there is a chapter in the Qur’an
called Sura Maryam(Chapter Mary)
(b) That Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a
virtuous woman, and honoured above the
women of all nations. Although the mother of Jesus is mentioned in the
Qur’an, the
mother, wife or daughters of Muhammad(SAW) are not.
(c) That all that was being said was God's
own Revelation to Muhammad
(d) That Jesus(Esa A.S) is mentioned by
name five times more than the Prophet of
Islam(SAW). To be exact, twenty-five times against five.
(e) That Jesus was a "Word" from
God.
(f) That he was the Christ that the Jews
were waiting for.
(g) That God will empower this Jesus to
perform miracles even in infancy
(h) That Jesus was born miraculously,
without any male intervention.
(i) That God will vouchsafe him Revelation.
(j) That he will give life to the dead by
God's permission, and that he
will heal those born blind and the lepers by God's permission
(k) That he will return to kill the
Anti-Christ and restore order to the world
SAY:"O PEOPLE OF THE BOOK(Jews
& Christians)!
COME TO COMMON TERMS AS BETWEEN US
AND YOU:
THAT WE WORSHIP NONE BUT GOD;
THAT WE ASSOCIATE NO PARTNERS WITH
HIM;
THAT WE ERECT NOT, FROM AMONG
OURSELVES,
LORDS AND PATRONS OTHER THAN
GOD."
IF THEN THEY TURN BACK,
SAY:"BEAR WITNESS THAT WE (AT
LEAST)
ARE MUSLIMS (BOWING TO GOD'S
WILL)." (Holy Qur'an 3:64)
“Oh you who created me,
Show me truth as truth and lead me
toward that,
Show me falsehood as falsehood and
help me avoid that,
And whichever way is most loved by
thee,
Then guide me in that best way, so
that I may love that way,
And make it clear to me!”
Aameen
Even the Revered Prophet of God, Jesus (pbuh) said:
"Seek ye the truth, and the
truth shall set you free" - (john 9:32).
“O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the
truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of
Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary,
and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not
"Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far
is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is
all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is
sufficient as Defender.” (Qur’an 4:171)
All humans with the ability to reason are challenged to study the one
true religion that they should follow. Studying a religion means studying its
beginning, its Prophet, his companions or disciples, and his followers, especially the notable ones. If they like that religion, then that is the religion they should choose! Follow your mind, not your ego! Your ego will mislead you by infusing feelings of shame and fear into you pertaining to your family, your friends and wicked and miscreant men of religion.
The Weekly Newsmagazine "TIME" dated July 15, 1974, carried a
selection
of opinions by various historians, writers, military men, businessmen
and
others on the subject:"Who Were History's Great Leaders?"
Some said that
it was Hitler; others said-Gandhi, Buddha, Lincoln and the like. But
Jules Masserman, a United States psychoanalyst put the standards straight by
giving the correct criteria wherewith to judge.
He said:"LEADERS MUST FULFIL THREE FUNCTIONS:-
(1) Provide for the
well-being of the led,
(2) Provide a social
organization in which people feel relatively secure
(3) Provide them with one
set of beliefs."
With the above three criteria he searches history and analyses-Hitler,
Pasteur, Caesar, Moses, Confucius and the lot, and ultimately
concludes:
"People like Pasteur and Salk
are leaders in the first sense. People like
Gandhi and Confucius, on one hand,
and Alexander, Caesar and Hitler on
the other, are leaders in the second and perhaps the third sense. Jesus
And Buddha belong in the third
category alone. Perhaps the greatest leader
of all times was Mohammed, who
combined all three functions. To a
Lesser degree, Moses did the
same."
The media has to adhere to
its non-discriminatory creed. When the media reports on a burglary, there is no
mention of the burglar's race, nationality or creed. If the race, for example,
was mentioned, then this is regarded as 'Racial Discrimination'. When a
Christian member of the IRA participates in terrorist activities, he is
referred to as a 'Terrorist' and not as a 'Christian Terrorist'. On the other
hand, when a Muslim fights oppression for the greatness of Islam, the
protection of the Ummah against the Kuffar, and to establish Allah's supremacy
in this world, then that Muslim is referred to as a "Muslim
terrorist", "Muslim Extremist" and "Muslim
Fundamentalist". Is it not true that what's good for one is good for all?
If so, then calling somebody a “Muslim Fundamentalist”, would be religious
discrimination. Why is it that a rule or condition that applies to the rest of
the world, does not apply to Muslims. In fact, in the Muslims' case, totally
contradictory conditions and rules apply. Yet amidst all the discrimination and
contradictions, the Muslim is expected to be all calm and serene about the
entire situation. What is the purpose of these derogatory contradictions? There
must be a purpose for the media to go through such great lengths in order to flip the coin when it comes to Muslims.
By referring to Muslim activists as “fundamentalists” or “extremists”, the
media’s intention is to immediately split Muslims into two sections, the good
passive Muslims and the evil terrorist Muslims. This inevitably has the effect
of the one type scorning and despising the other, in-keeping with the divide-and-rule
concept of the Kuffaar. The media wants to instill into its
audience that Muslims are a great threat. This will result in Muslims being
treated with hostility by non-Muslims. It is meant to make Muslims feel
embarrassed when practicing Islam. This is one of the many mechanisms used to
crush Islam and kill the morale of its followers. Such propaganda is supposed
to make Muslims feel that practicing Islam is wrong and at the same time, to
conform to western ideologies would be correct. Children are exposed to arcade
games with Muslims as the villains. In movies, the villain will no longer be
Russian or German, for the Western World has a new enemy.... The Muslim!
Is this being paranoid, or is this not confirmation of the conspiracy against Muslims? One might think that this is a “conspiracy theory”, but this would only be the opinion of one who views Islamic history through dark glasses. If the reason for America to target Afghanistan and Sudan was that they were suspected of producing chemical weapons and organising terrorist activities, then why did America not do the same to Iraq. A United Nations delegation went to investigate Iraq's production of chemical weapons, as per the United Nations' resolutions. America didn't just bomb Iraq on the auspices of the production of chemical weapons being produced there. No, in fact a delegation was sent to investigate these allegations. Why has the contrary taken place in Afghanistan and Sudan? Again, what do these contradictions tell us? At the same time, considering that America had no right whatsoever to attack Afghanistan and Sudan, why hasn't the United Nations done something to stop America and take them to task for their actions? Why hasn't the world imposed sanctions on America? Okay, if not the entire world, at least all the so-called "Muslim" countries should impose sanctions on America. Instead, Saudi Arabia allows American forces to remain in the Gulf for security reasons. This is totally against what Allah SWT orders and warns us of in the Holy Qur’an.
"O you who believe! Choose not
your fathers nor your brethren for protectors if they love disbelief over
belief; whoever of you takes them for protectors, such are wrong-doers.” ( Holy Qur’an 9:23)
Here ALLAH orders
us to severe family ties with kin that love disbelief and sin over belief and
righteousness, even if it were our fathers or brothers. In essence, ties based
on the bond by the creed of Islam are holier and more virtuous than the bond
based on blood-ties. Our closest relatives must be the pious ones.
“O ye who believe! Do not take as confidants those who are not of
you; they will not fail to cast disorder among you; they are pleased by what
troubles you. Hatred has been revealed out of their mouths: what
their breasts conceal is yet greater.
We have made the signs clear to you, if you would but understand.” (Holy Qur’an 3:118)
Irate pilgrims complain that they could not visit Ta’if, a town of Islamic historical significance, whilst on pilgrimage to Mecca, due to the town being an American naval base. What do the Americans, the enemies of Islam who support Jews, want in the Gulf? What purpose do they serve? Haven’t they got enough problems of their own in America? They should resolve their problems before interfering in the affairs that shouldn’t concern them. At the same time, they fully support the Jewish occupation of Palestine. How can the Arabs rub shoulders with the double-standard supporters of Jews? If the world and its leaders can't see the conspiracy against Islam, then they are blind, and the world is in a state of 'the blind being lead by the blind'. One guide dog would do a better job than all those blind leaders put together. Only those without spirit will blindly elect an incompetent leader like Bill Clinton, for example. He speaks about issues like respecting family values, whilst in the same breath, he violates his very own family’s values. It is blatant that he doesn’t love or respects his family for he has not protected them from his shameful deeds. If he doesn’t care about his own immediate family, then whose family is he going to care about? Look at the support he enjoys although it is blatant that he cannot even manage a trivial extra marital affair. Now he wants to make decisions about the lives of Muslims. Most Islamic leaders are allowing Clinton to do just that. Such is the pitiful state of Islam today. Is this the same Islam that Allah’s beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) left in the custody of his Ummah? Our Prophet (SAW) had various dealings with the Kuffar, whom he treated with respect and dignity, yet they knew their place.
“Allah does not forbid you to deal
with those who have not fought against you in religion, and have not expelled
you from your homes, that you should treat them with kindness and justice, for
indeed, Allah loves the just. He forbids you only those who fought against you
in religion, and expelled you from your homes, and helped to expel you, that
you should take them as friends.” (Qur’an.60:8).
Can’t we follow the Sunnah when dealing with the Kuffar? Do we
have to subject ourselves to them and submit to their decisions though these
decisions may be against Allah and Allah’s Prophet(SAW)?
Another blatant
contradiction exposes itself when women’s rights in Islam are questioned.
Various global organisations accuse Islam of suppressing women’s rights by
asking women to cover themselves and not to expose themselves in any manner. On
the flip-side issues such as
prostitution and pornography, whilst being socially demeaning, and degrading,
are totally accepted. Women that wear scarves are victimised and in some places
like Turkey, Islamic headgear is banned. Whilst women such as Sister Gul Aslan
are imprisoned for donning Islamic headgear, the streets, magazines, movies and
billboards are full of nude and semi-nude women. This is clearly indicative of
the power of Shaytan and makes one experience an uncanny, creepy feeling to
know that over fourteen hundred years ago, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
prophesied that a time will come when good will be perceived as evil and evil
will be accepted as good. Here are a few quotes from our Beloved Prophet
Muhammad (SAW) regarding hijab:
(a) When
a woman wears perfume in a gathering of men, then she is an adulteress
(b) Women
not covered appropriately, are presented by Satan to men in an alluring form
Even if females do not intend to have a certain effect
on men, Satan still carries out his mission in amplifying the effect in the eyes
and mind of men. The only way to prevent this is to dress appropriately, within
the folds of Islam and as well as for men to be successful in lowering the
gaze. The more a female does in order to seek attention by beautifying herself,
the more difficult it is for men to lower their gaze. Furthermore, if a woman
isn't dressed appropriately then a sense of perversion is instilled in the
onlookers’ eyes. It is a fact that respect dissipates when pervesion is
prevalent, and the individual should control whether they are respected or not
rather than leaving that decision up to others to make. One must look at
"covering-up" simply as a means of
inhibitting sexual perversion.
(c) When a man and woman are
together, Satan makes a third.
Again, although it might not be the intention to commit any
evil, Satan concocts the formula for evil,
that’s why many victims don’t know what overcame them.
This is my prayer for all women:
“Oh Lord of the Universe! I pray
for all the women in the world, especially our Muslim women,
Amongst them, those whom I
personally know, not forgetting my immediate family…
I pray thee, Oh Controller of
hearts!
Let them be treated with love, respect, kindness and dignity by
one and all and at all times,
And more importantly my Lord, I
pray that they earn the right to be treated as such…
Fulfill all their hopes, wishes,
dreams and aspirations, answer all their prayers.
Bestow upon them those same
virtuous qualities and blessings that Thou hath bestowed upon
Hazrath Bibi Khadija(RA), Hazrath Bibi Ayesha(RA), Hazrath Bibi
Fathima-tus-Zahrah(RA)
and the rest of the noble
Sahaba-Kiraam(RA).
Let them improve and develop in all
aspects, whether it be emotionally, physically, psychologically, mentally,
financially, etc. ”
Aameen!
One would run out of paper
and time if one has to list all the examples of such contradictions that are
neglected based on human attitude and perceptions.
Lets go back to the Gulf
War's "Operation Desert Storm". There are great lessons to learn from
this. A brief history... When Iraq and Iran were fighting for the control of
the Shut-Al-Arab waterway, the Arab Monarchist rule, which was threatened by
Iran as being non-Islamic, encouraged Sadaam Husayn to fight Iran by financing
him. By fighting Iran, Iraq had a chance of conquering Iran, and thus
eliminating the Arab Monarchy's greatest threat. Time went by and the Arab
Monarchy hadn't compensated Sadam. It seemed as though they had no intention of
doing so, so Sadam invaded Kuwait. The Monarchy and the family that ran Kuwait
were no match for Sadam, so they called on the "ever-ready to divide and
rule" Americans to help remove Sadam's forces from Kuwait. America,
attracted by the oil that was promised by the Arabs and the high-classed
"hit-man" that it is, was too glad to get involved. They thought
Sadam was a walkover and faced the consequences. The rest is history. Sadam
incited jihad in his supporters' hearts and encouraged Muslims to participate.
I have mixed feelings about this. Firstly, jihad is supposed to be for the sake
of Allah and not for the money that the Monarchy owed Sadam. On the contrary,
should Muslims be indifferent and grant the Kuffar victory? Being the military
genius that he is, Sadam was extremely irresponsible to expose his supporters
and his country to such a peril. Knowing this, I would still have supported
Sadam over the Kuffar. His motives were un-Islamic, yet this shouldn't distract
us from the real purpose of protecting the Ummah against the Kuffar.
Considering everybody’s motives, nobody was justified in fighting. Even Egypt,
whose airstrips Sadam was supposed to use, refused assistance to Sadam after
America wrote-off the six billion dollars that Egypt owed her. The Jews were
actually paid to keep out of the war, for if they had participated, Jihad and
World War Three would have broken out. So you see, everybody involved were
there for the money, but through all this, should we have let the Kuffar, who
inevitably are the enemy of Muslims, prevail? Through all the prevalent
injustices and corruption, we as Muslims should do whatever is conducive to the
survival of Islam and the followers of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). However, the
Kuffar may have won the war but they will always lose the battle against Islam
and Muslims.
Again, on the flip side,
British Prime Minister, John Major was filmed being handed a videotape of the
atrocities meted out against the Muslims in Bosnia. The United Nations were
also informed of the inhumanities suffered by these Muslims. Baring these facts
in mind, one would have expected to see another "Operation
Something", as was the case in Kuwait. The United Nations and the western
"Super-Powers" were suddenly not as enthusiatic. Was it because
Bosnia didn't have any wealth or petroleum, or was it because Bosnia didn’t
have any desert sand? Maybe it was because they couldn't stomach the thought of
an Islamic State in the heart of Western society. The Muslims of Bosnia
experienced grave inhumanities. The soldiers slit a pregnant woman’s stomach
open. I use the term “soldiers”, as they were never referred to as
"terrorists" at all. These "soldiers" wanted to see whether
the Muslim woman was expecting a male or female baby. Muslim wives were raped
whilst their husbands were forced to watch and participate. Young Muslim girls
were raped, their noses broken as a sign that these “soldiers” have already
raped them. As a result, thousands of babies were born with hatred in their
mothers' hearts. Imagine the degradation of baring the children of your rapist
and your greatest enemy. Imagine giving birth to a child after your body was
exploited and abused by a dozen "soldiers". Yet, none of these
"soldiers" were called "terrorists" or
"extremists". What would the future of these kids being born into
Muslim homes be, considering that their mothers as well as their entire nation
are mentally and psychologically damaged through these injustices? The future
of these kids, and the families that they are born into inevitably effects the
future of Islam. These kids, being born into Muslim homes, are supposed to be
the future leaders of Islam. They have already been deprived of the stability
and foundation of building a strong Islamic future. These injustices will take
its toll on the next generations. These are just a few of the human rights
violation. I have seen many inhumanities and injustices on video. But the
powers that be, through action, don't think that any inhumanities were
perpetrated. And what did the Bosnia’s Muslims do to deserve all of this
suffering? Yes, they recited "La-ilaha-ill-Lallahu,
Muhammad-ur-Rasool-Allah". That's what they did wrong!
Lets look at Somalia. During
their civil war, civilians couldn’t afford a plate of maize, yet they could
afford thousands of firearms and bullets. How can a country on the brink of
starvation afford arms and ammunition? Or were weapons donated to them? If weapons could be so freely available,
then why wasn’t this the same for the less costly, more needed nutrition. Then
the United Nations deployed their troupes in Somalia, but wasn’t powerful
enough to stop the carnage.
The story of Algeria is yet
another example. It was in the 1930's that the French colonised Algeria.
Algeria fought for independence in 1954 and was granted independence in 1962.
The National Liberation Front (Front de Liberation or FLN) then controlled
Algeria. In 1991, Algeria had its first democratic multi-party elections, which
was won by the largest party, the Islamic Salvation Front (ISF). The victory,
however, was ignored and a non-Islamic Military group backed by France
unjustifiably took power in January 1992. The ISF tried democracy and it didn’t
work so they resorted to other means of reaching a solution. This led to unrest
in Algeria and had repercussions back in France. For example, a France Airline’s jet was hijacked from 24 to the
26 December 1994 and on January 30, a deadly car bomb exploded in Algiers. This
unrest led to Muslims being called "Muslim Terrorists" and
"Muslim Extremists". The story is as follows. After the independence,
and due to unemployment in Algeria, many Algerian Muslims were employed as
builders in France. Consequently, an Islamic community developed there. Now,
when France interfered with Algeria's future, the Muslims in both Algeria and
France took offence. Since France couldn’t hear the Muslims' pleas, the Muslims
had to get France to co-operate. When they demonstrated, then they were labeled
"Muslim Terrorists". As a result, those Muslims in France are
victimised by the French authorities. Whether you are male or female, you and
your property are searched. Females aren't allowed to wear headgear in school,
and they aren't allowed to skip art classes, which promote nudity. Two Muslim
Moroccan sisters, Nabila and Hind, were expelled from school when they refused
to remove their headgear and participate in sports and art classes. They went
to court, won the case, and were re-admitted. Something else happened at school
and they were expelled yet again. They went back to court and the verdict is
not known as yet. Being a Muslim in France is a terrible experience. A Muslim
chemical engineer was detained for some time without any trial or formal charge
for being suspected of making bombs. His wife was also briefly detained with
their little baby and she was treated with great contempt. Muslims are
victimised and subjected to abuse all the time. Many Muslims are imprisoned, as
in India, for no reason whatsoever. Now if the French, with their fancy
uniforms, ships, bugles and drums, did not colonise Algeria in the first place,
then all these problems wouldn't be occurring.
The list goes on and on... I
don't want to get into the Palestine issue, nor the Kashmir issue nor the
Kosovo and Chechnya situations as you ought to know the story by now. India’s
anti-Islamic policies are another issue that must be dealt with in detail.
The conspiracy goes on. When is it going to stop? Is there any other religion that has been exploited as Islam is. Not even Satanism is as controversial. In the meantime, Muslims are being persecuted. Having perfected the religion, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) entrusted Islam upon his Ummah. The current state that Islam and its followers is in indicates the way the Ummah has nurtured the Islam that Muhammad (SAW) left with us. In Spain, for example, mosques have been converted into churches. This alone is indicative of Islamic decay. Although Islam is the fastest growing religion, we must not sacrifice quality for quantity. Islam should be propagated just as the Prophet (SAW) did, which was by his meticulous actions and exemplary behaviour. In short, we should propagate Islam by example, as action speaks louder than words. Islam will attract those that see the unity, peace, respect, dignity, equality and justice that Islam offers mankind. Now whose duty is it to set the example and whose example should we follow? The answer to this is definitely not the Kuffar. Instead, we follow the thought processes that the media instills upon us, and we follow the trends of the Kuffar. I myself am guilty of this and am currently rehabilitating myself. Fortunately I have realised timeously that I was deceiving myself by the fantasy world of the Kuffar, for there is one thing that is certain. Death and the Hereafter.
Why Struggle?
In the Holy Quran, Allah (SWT) says:
‘O ye who believe ! Bow down, and
prostrate yourselves. and worship your Lord, and do good that you
may be successful And strive hard in
the cause of Allah as you ought to strive. He has chosen you (to
convey his message), and has not laid
upon you in religion any hardship. It is the religion of your father Abraham.
It is he (Allah) who has named you Muslims both before and in this (Qur’an) so
that the Apostle
might be a witness over you, and you
be witnesses over mankind. Therefore offer the prayers perfectly, and
pay the alms, and hold fast to Allah.
He is yourProtector. What an excellent Protector, What an excellent Helper!’ (Surat-al-Hajj (22), ayahs 77-78)
This means that ALLAH(SWT) has appointed the believers as guardians over mankind.
"Those who, if We give them power in the land, establish
prescribed prayers (SALAH) and pay the poor-due (ZAKAH) and enjoin right
conduct and forbid evil. And with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all)
affairs." (Holy Qur’an 22:41)
In the above verse, together with two of the five pillars viz.,SALAH and ZAKAH, Allah (SWT) commands us to “enjoin right conduct and forbidding evil”. Enjoining “right” conduct and forbidding “evil” must be carried out in accordance to Al-Qur’an and Islamic Shariat, which clarifies the definitions of these two entities. It is almost impossible to forbid evil without using force. The employment of force in order to forbid evil is in most cases necessary, for evil is a very stubborn one.
I am still thinking about what to write next, so watch
this space….
Still busy investigating the effect of the inhumane
atrocities meted by Hitler on the Jews, and the worldwide community, yet now in
February 2000, the very same atrocities are still being meted out to the Chechnyans.
Those so-called humanitarians that show sympathy to what happened to the Jews
ignore what’s happening in Chechnya, yet it is a Genocide… Or are they waiting
for sixty years to pass before they have memorial days and ceremonies in
commemoration of the suffering experienced by the Chechnyans…We study history
to learn from the past and in order to use this education to solve problems in
the future… Seems Hitler taught us nothing…
