Fish & inverts
Many people consider fish are the least important addition to their reef tank, I don t think that way.
For me, fish are a very important addition to the tank and I pay special attention regarding my fish selection. I don t like fish just to "fill the space", I like attractive fish, with personality and good behaviour.
Before I add any fish I read and learn about their habits, feeding requirements and social behaviour.
As you can see I have some fish that are cataloged as not reef safe or risky addition, like the juv. emperor angel and butterflies. Well, Ive had nothing but good experiences with them, none of them have nipped at my corals nor  my clams.
In this case I think the emperor angelfish is the one that offer a greater risk, but if they are introduced to the tank when they are juveniles they adapt better to prepared food and they don t develop a taste for corals or sponges, which may happen in their natural habitat. He is a fish with a great personality, he likes to feel he is the boss of the tank and sometimes harrases the butterflies and clown with no visible damage. They must be fed a great variety of foods in order to grow quickly and develop their mature colors. Mine is just starting to change to adult coloration, and has grown about 1 inch in about 6 months.
