| Autumn is upon us Trees turn to red and gold. The contrast of the colors Is bright and wonderfully bold. A slight chill is in the air Autumn is all around. You hear the crackling of the leaves When your feet walk on the ground. Children waiting for Halloween They want to trick or treat. The smell of smoke from chimneys Is a fragrance, so very sweet. We now wait for the holidays As we hear the football cheers. The beautiful splendor that is autumn That tells us winter's near. -KMP- Copyrighted 2000, Katherine M. Parisse |
