| Can I learn to trust you? Do I even dare? When I begin to trust you Will you no longer be there? Should I give my heart to you? Do I even start? For when I learn to trust and love I end up with a broken heart. Just as I begin to open up And start to love and trust. It seems to be tossed aside And blown away like dust. Trusting is not an easy task, And neither is giving the heart. But when I trust and love again Maybe it will be a start. But even with a new start Things can always go wrong. The trust and love never seem to last, They always say so long. But I'll always give my trust And I'll always give my heart. Then maybe someone will recongize it, Right from the very start. -KMP- Copyrighted 2004 Katherine M. Parisse |
