| Below you will find some easy and (hopefully) very tasting desserts for the upcoming holidays! |
| RICE KRISPY "TREATS" My version (This is a family favorite and after trying these I don't think you'll like the "regular" Rice Krispies treats anymore). 6 c. Rice Krispies 1 c. peanut butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. white Karo syrup 1 package chocolate chips 1 package butterscotch chips Melt sugar and Karo syrup on low flame, stirring constently so not to burn. Add peanut butter. Continue to stir til smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in Rice Krispies. Put Rice Krispy mixture in a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips, stirring constently, til smooth. Pour chocolate chip mixture over the Rice Krispies and refrigerate for a few hours to set. Cut into small pieces (may be easier to cut if you take them out of the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes). |
