I looked out my window on Christmas Eve
And saw a special Christmas star.
So I closed my eyes and said a wish
For my friends, so near and far.
I wished for nothing for myself
Not games or my favorite toys.
All I wanted for my friends
Was happiness, love and joy.
I wished with everything that I had
I wished with all my might.
I wished that they may feel the things
That I had felt that night.
I could never explain to my friends
Just how much they mean to me.
But as I wished upon that star
I hoped that they would see.
The joy I feel when they are near
And the happiness I always felt.
The times that I would lean on them,
No matter the hand I was dealt.
So as I wished upon that star
On that special Christmas Eve,
I thanked that star for all my friends
For in me, they believed.
