Headquarters needs vital information about the Middle Ages. You are to help out by completing the following tasks. To help with your search feel free to use all forms of research material. You will find some helpful links at the bottom of the page. Remember, a good agent always keeps a list of where he or she locates the information and always gives credit where credit is due. Good luck and happy searching.
Activity #1
1. Research, create and present a
slide show explaining the Crusades with emphasis on the Children's Crusade.

Activity #2
2. Research what effect the church had on the Middle Ages and write about it.  You may present your information in a newsletter, a slideshow, or a presentation type of your choice.  Make a stained glass window to go with it.

Steps to create a stained glass window:
                  1)  First, draw a pencil or chalk design on a piece of black paper.
                  2)  Next, cut out different sections of your design so that these areas can
                       be shown in color.
                  3) Paste colored paper or tissue paper in the spaces you have cut, gluing edges of
the tissue or colored paper to the black paper, on the wrong side.
                  4) Cover the entire picture with cellophane to give it a glass-like look.

Activity #3
3. Research, create and present a ballad.

Steps to create a ballad:
                     1)  Choose a subject for your ballad. It can be your life, a friend, a sport, or a

                                                                                                                   B

                      2)  List pairs of rhyming words: road, load ; course, horse

                      3) Write sentences about your topic that end with the rhyming words from step 3.
On a dark and dusty road,
                                                          He carried his burdensome load.

                       4)  Follow the rhyme scheme. Write two stanzas of four lines each.
A - On a dark and dusty road,
                                                         B - I chanced to smell a musty horse.
A -  He carried his burdensome load.
                                                         B -  A long a steady course
C - athie smelly horse it did rest,
