| Humeston First Responder Co-President Susie Gibbs was presented with the American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Heartsaver Award "in recognition of advancing the mission of the American Heart Association and Emergency Cardiovascular Care in a courageous effort to save a life on April 2, 2004." The life Susie saved was that of her husband, Humeston First Responder Co-President, Butch Gibbs. Diana Harness of Indian Hills Community College nominated her and presented the award to her before the community play on March 19, 2005.
