| Maria you are doing a good job - best of luck with your site. I am a Sri lankan now living in Bangkok. Some of my family suffered in the late 90's at the hands of a man called Nithy. He is a rich Sri Lankan who made his noney arranging the travel of Sri Lankans to Europe. My cousins trip did not go well the boat they were travelling on was stranded in Conakry after being stopped by a navy boat. They among over 200 were both sent back to Colombo, without any money. One of my cousins died because of the terrible conditions she was made to travel in. NITHY ran a big network in Colombo including his own travel agencies one called Avro Travels. There was a big article in the year 2000 in a magazine called Far East Economic Review - this mentions Nithy - see if you can find it and put it on your web site. Where is NITHY now is he in prison? Although he was connected with Tamil Tigers he seemed always to be able to escape from prison with only a small fine. Is he still in business? You should get your readers to send in details about NITHY - while ordinary Sri Lankans suffer he lives in luxury - have a look at his house on the RAMAKRISHNA ROAD, if he still live there.
