THE WEDDING DAY
APRIL 14,1996
Our wedding day was extra special because of all the people who were a part of the ceremony and all of the guests. We had about 300 people at the wedding. We shared the day with our families , closest friends & relatives, who were very helpful and introduced us to each other..'THANK YOU'.
My friends Sharmeen, Azra, my sister Sofia & her friends, my niece Reeha & her friends, all sang and danced to many wedding numbers of Indian Movies.
Asif's "Best Men" were his friends Siddique (since elementary school) Hanif & Afzal (his cousins and also his best friends). Did a great job getting him to the wedding hall on time...! 2 hours before the wedding, our friends and relatives served usheres /groomsmen.
My maid of honour was Fazila, one of my oldest friend. My niece Reeha was the flower girl. She was only 8yrs old at the time of our wedding, and was looking very cute wearing a pink frilly frock with laces. After the wedding, everyone came to our house to celebrate some more...The last guest left around around 1.a.m. We had a beautiful ceremony..!
OUR HONEYMOON
We flew to South India and drove up the mountains to a gorgeous place called 'Kodaikanal" .... stayed in a resort there for a week. We both love that place. The weather was perfect and the scenery was amazing! |
