Arthur, also called Wart, is a young who dreams of being a knight's squire.  On a hunting trip he meets Merlin, a powerful but forgetful, and somewhat strange wizard, who plans much more than squiredom for Arthur.  He tries to give him an education, believing that with and education Arthur can do anything.  But things don't quite work out as Merlin had planned.
