LAB Subwoofer v3.0 is an implementation of the LABsub design created by Tom Danley. You can find lots more information at the above two links.

The first thing I wanted to do was develop a computer model of the design that would accurately predict the measured response of the original cabinet as posted at ProSoundWeb. Here is that measurement for a single cabinet:
It should be noted that these horns need to be used in groups of at least four on an open ground plane or two on the floor against a wall. A single cabinet should be aimed into a corner. This provides proper loading of the cabinet and much improved frequency response and power handling.
I modeled the original design using David McBean's Horn Response Program. I used dimensions from Peter Sylvester's web site Lab Horn Project. I am referring to his design as v2.0. It is very similar to the original v1.0 design posted here. Below is the Horn Response prediction to compare to the above (blue line) measurement. The predicted response is very close to the measurement so I felt confident going ahead with some changes.
