If You're wondering what airsoft is its basically bb guns. Bb guns are the same as air guns and airsoft guns. They all shoot pellets and use air/spring/gas/electric power to shoot the pellets. Some shoot bigger pellets and other shoot smaller ones. They all shoot at different speeds, measured in fps(fps=feet per second).
Gas guns are guns that use gas to shoot the pellets(obviously). You can regulate how hard the pellet will be shot out up to a certain point(the guns limit casue it uses pressure ya know?). Some may be automatic because you don't have to load a spring every time you shoot, so I think as long as you still have pressure inside you can shoot again. Im not sure because I haven't really researched them yet. Now they're relatively outdated but they still work fine. Personally i would prefer a spring gun or electric gun over these.
Spring guns are guns that use a spring to shoot the pellet(duh! right?). They are not automatic because you have to load the spring every time you shoot. Though they're not automatic they're good for plinking(which is what I'd do if i could convince my parents to let me buy one or maybe some friends...?). Not much else to say.....
Electric guns, also known as AEG for Airsoft Electric Gun, use batteries or some type of electric power source(or could i be wrong...? d=). Most are automatic, meaning you can shoot as many times as you can pull the trigger/have ammo left because you don't have to load anything.
Over the years these guns have evolved into replicas of real guns. Meaning they're made with the intention of making them look like real guns in mind. To legally own these guns you must make sure that the tips of the guns are painted orange. By "tips" i mean the nuzle/tip of the barrel. This is required so they can tell whether its a "toy" or the real thing.

Of all the pistols ive seen i like the desert eagles the best. i say pistols cause i haven realy looked at rifles or submachine guns or snipers yet.
according to the site thats the newest desert eagle model on the market. itsa spring gun with "hop up", its a thing that puts backspin on the pellet and makes it go straighter and further.
