The Hughsonville Presbyterian Church was originally opened as a mission to the Wappinger Creek Presbyterian Church (later known as the New Hamburgh Presbyterian Church) circa 1843. It became Hughsonville Presbyterian Church on February 13, 1851.
The church is currently being restored. The restoration began in 2006, and so far a new porch, railings, and spindles have been put in place, and the front of the church has been painted. The restoration is ongoing, and we will post updates as progress is made.
Hughsonville Presbyterian Church has recently joined in worship with The Presbyterian Church of Wappingers Falls*. We ask you to join us in our combined summer worship, Sunday mornings at 10AM. The services will be held at Hughsonville Presbyterian through August 2nd, and at Wappingers Falls Presbyterian from August 9th, through the remainder of the summer. Services will be led by our minister, the Reverend Lindsay Borden. *Wappingers Falls Presbyterian Church is also located on 9D, but in the Village of Wappingers Falls.
*On the second Saturday of each month, we will be hosting a Book Sale. The books cost only $1.00, and all proceeds go to benefit the church's building and restoration fund. Please join us!*
