Tom's Rose Garden

We purchased this rose a couple of years ago and it was planted in a small climbing rose garden in the yard. The roses didn't do well there, so late last summer we transplanted the ones that were still alive. This one has bloomed a couple of times since we transplanted it and the flower starts out red and turns quickly to a very pretty light pink.

Spring 1997

I belive, given the glossiness of the foliage, the form, color, and repeat of the flowers, and the climbing nature, that this is New Dawn. It has got a couple of dozen buds on it, and as of today a couple are starting to open up.
