Tom's Rose Garden
Lady Hillingdon
(Lowe & Shawyer, 1910)
One of my favorites. I bought this Tea rose from Heirloom Old Garden Roses
last year, but didn't receive it until later in the summer. It's recovering from
our killer late frost, but it's still fairly small. I've got some lovely flowers
off of it. The buds start out light cream color, and then change to apricot as
the semi-double flower opens. Nice fragrance. The bush is expected to grow to
roughly 4 to 6 feet in size and is more cold hardy than most Tea roses.
