Tom's Rose Garden
Heritage
(Austin, 1984)
My first English Rose. I couldn't resist buying this rose when I discovered
it on the back lot of a local nursery. In early September, it had four full,
very fragrant, light pink blooms with six more buds ready to open. The look and
smell of this repeating rose had me reneging on my "old garden roses only"
rule.
Spring 1997
This rose has about ten buds on it, but I'm looking for it to really take
off this summer. Unfortunately, it's already getting blackspot. It and Graham
Thomas run neck and neck for second place in my garden's worst rose for
blackspot competition (behind Dr. Huey).
You can see pictures and read more
about this rose atYesterday's
Rose and at Jeremy's
Roses.
