Entry for June 17, 2006 - A new beginning...
Before I had ever heard of blogs, I kept a Research Journal -- a place I recorded comments and thoughts on the research I've been doing on my genealogy. It was a tiresome process, where I would keep the "latest" entry on the home page and cut and paste the others into the original journal. Now, with this blog "attached" to my genealogy page, hopefully I'll at least keep this informal communication updated. Speaking of updates... I've got a lot of new information to add and update here. As I archive my current webpages and update them, one of the goals will be to seperate the Hugg lines more succinctly. It now seems very obvious that my particular line (which I'll now call the "Delmarva Hugg Line") is not an off-shoot of the New Jersey Hugg line (a.k.a. the John Hugg line). I need to make this clearer. I've also received some relevant information that makes my one paternal line "cleaner" -- which I need to reflect in these pages. In addition, I want to separate out the other lines I'm familiar with and include, when possible, links to researchers on those lines. I've also got some great information on the Caperson line, which came from New Jersey and settled in Delaware, marrying into the Delmarva Huggs. I want to expand on some of the family lines from my mother's side, to include the Lynchs and Kitchens. Finally (for this entry at least), I want to try to add information, links, queries, etc. for 18th and 17th century Eastern Shore Maryland History. It's been difficult finding information on this time and area, and I'd like to be able to share what I do find and create a place of interest for other people researching this area. Please check back often. 2006-06-18 04:44:14 GMT
