I go to work like everyone else does so I can take care of my family. I was driving down the road one day when a song came on the radio "Jesus take the wheel" by Carrie Underwood. As I drove and listened I began to cry. The song tells of a young woman's life was spared when her car spun out of control on black ice. She knew she could not control the car and she says "Jesus, take the wheel!"
He does and she vows to change her life. I was in tears because I knew that I also had to change my life and the way I live, but I did not know how.
A few days passed and my supervisor Angelina told me that my help was needed in claims for a week. For the following week I worked in a different department. I did not mind as it was not unfamiliar to me. The following week the COO of the company presented me a check for helping out. I was very grateful! I went to the bank on Monday and put it into my account.
On my way home that night while driving down the road, my car starts to make a thumping noise, fortunately I was not far from home and was close to where I needed to be.
My car had a flat tire. I reached my destination and did what I had to do there as a homeless man approached the car to warn me that I could not drive due to the flat tire. To make a long story short, he changed the tire for me and I was able to give him money for his dinner. It was at that point that I knew it was Gods will that I meet that man in the parking lot so he could eat.
The lesson in this is not that I helped someone. The lesson is that I knew why the tire was flat and understood what was happening. This was a revelation for me.
Learning to love God is more than I could have ever imagined.
I guess God was waiting for the right time!
I have worked with Connie for a few years now. She has always been very sweet and kind..... Never did I ever imagine what a spectacular friend she is!
She always says something to cheer me up, she always has inspiration. The more I got to know her, the more I wanted to have the care free attitude she has.She is very focused and directed. She tells me you have to know God.
I have embarked on a wonderous journey in my life and at the time when my life is at a rough spot. I am the happiest I have ever been!
Day by day I am learning to love God and live my life according to His will and to love myself because He loves me!
God uses people as vessels. Connie has been my vessel and I pray that one day God will use me to be a vessel to show someone else the love of God and all His glory.
